News Launcher update

Hey guys,

Just a very quick message to let you know that a new launcher update is going live shortly.

The launcher will be a mandatory update on steam and Oculus and will be optional elsewhere. It will become mandatory when the beta goes live tomorrow.

I would suggest downloading the update today where possible, to allow you to get ready for tomorrows beta.

To participate in 2.1 beta since this Thursday/Friday you had to buy HORIZONS beta, which was available till December '2015, before the 2.0 beta went live back then.

You remember updating the launcher for HORIZONS beta back in December? I'd seek the downloadable content in Frontier' store (after you log in there that is), there should be something marked "2.1 beta" or simillar.

But I'm only guessing this at this moment - still enslaved in the office - so would be thankfull for anyone to confirm this

So, how do we do this launcher updating again?

IIRC that the launcher version number at the bottom left of the launcher shows both your version and the new version (but this might only happen when there is a mandatory update). You might have to F5 or close/open the launcher to get it to show. The game version # is the one on the left and the launcher version # is the one on the right.
