Space truckin' here I come

Give up on Mining so quickly? :)I ran a T9 for a while until I could upgrade to a trade conda. Man what a difference. It'll make you appreciate the Anaconda that much more. Here's my current setup, for shiggles."Reverie" - http://coriolis.io/outfit/anaconda/...040445030324.Iw18ZlA=.Aw18ZlA=?bn=ReverieI've been slowly upgrading mine, but my initial trade setup cost about 160 million.

Not at all. My Python is still docked in a system with a pristine metallic ring and is a short Hauler taxi ride away. I've just decided I want an Anaconda and this is the easiest way of getting one. I reckon the Anaconda will be an awesome mining ship.

This is all you need. Change the drop-down to stations only.

Only one jump even for a T9 :D

Just wanted to say thanks for the tip. Seems like as long as I'm not getting distracted then I can do a run and back in 20 minutes or so, so with my 480T space whale I can make around 6m per hour. Nice. :)

So I decide that I want to get an Anaconda. I can't afford one right now without pretty much offloading my entire fleet.

So for now I've gone and bought a T9 so I can do some bulk trading. I sold the following fully kitted out ships to get it:
Asp Explorer (I still have one more)
Vulture
T6
Diamondback Explorer

Plus, I also offloaded my stock Federal Assault Ship and Keelback. I figured out I'd make back money pretty quickly with a cargo capacity of around 470T. I just need to find an A6 FSD as Ising Dock in 109 Piscium didn't have one.

Now, let's see if I can fit it through the mailslot!
Ugh. I hate the handling on the T9.

I like big boats but not ones like that. Does the cutter handle better? Curious is all.

Not sure if I should try trucking some Imperial Slav- err, Imperial Passengers, to make some quick money. Only got a Courier and an iEagle so I don't have much cargo space. Hmm...

Did you strip your ships before you sold them?

Nice little hidden joke.

Nice little hidden joke.

Yep, any ships which were outfitted were stripped, otherwise you lose 10% on the modules and that would've been a few million I'd have lost.

If I was a pirate (and I'm not) I would hang out round Zemina Torval control systems. That's where the cheap slaves are

Why do you don't join Zemina Power then?
Why? It is much better than any CG. Can be played solo or open. Doesnt matter.

You will have trade bonus (up to 20%) and have opportunity to make the same system like Chujohimba every week. We are trying to make system like this now but it is very hard because people from Mahon (another trade power) dont want this happen. With price 12500 for imperial slaves!!! It won't happen without your help guys.!!

Everyone knows best routes now. They suffer from cutters in one day!!

Week ago we made Candecama. 12500 price.

But we are low on commanders. So we cant do job for all galaxy. Everyone who use it shold HELP us. If if get something from Zemina give her some respect.

We have good team. Join us and you will not regret.

I sold my Cutter the other day since I was heartily bored only finding a use for it shipping slaves and didn't really need it after the recent BB mission reinstatement. With the creds from the sale, I bought an Anaconda, an Asp and a Cobra...A rated them all and still had change.

I tanked up the Anaconda with size 7 shields, a couple of 6A SCB's and a few HRP's with a huge PAC underneath...TBH, I like it better than my old Corvette after chucking it about in a HazRes or two.

Having had both the so called end game ships, I'm finding the old multirole ones like the Anaconda are much better and more useful. Even tanked up with only 96t of cargo space left... the Anaconda can still jump 19ly...show me a Corvette that can do that.

If I ever feel the unlikely need to go trade something ever again, a few minutes swapping the modules for cargo space and it's done. I've got a few hundred mil in the bank, already Elite trade rank...don't need to grind anything so the Cutter was simply to show I had the rank and cash to flaunt one... a pointless shiny thing, basically.

The Asp, I've fitted for out purely for trips the black for when Horizons hits... the Cobra is a pure roadrunner. I still have the Python for the BB missions and the Ferdie for when I'm bored and need nothing more than something to shoot at :)

I'm really enjoying ED all over again since the BB missions had had a minor revamp in the paint job patch. Having it all certainly did me no favours...either in the way I played ED or enjoyed it. Shipping slaves in a big ship simply because you can is a job, not recreation. The end game ships are a means toward an end if you're still getting there, sure. But once you've got enough, it's time to give up and just play.

Best thing I ever did in ED was selling that Cutter...

yes, Anaconda is the one the best ships in that game, agreed

If you are thinking about yourself ONLY, it's fine. And i can say nothing here. Enjoy it like you want!

But i see people spending some time doing some Community Goals and enjoy team-work and other aspects of group play / (read: power play).
There is much more entertaining than community goals.

Power Play - It is where more money needed after you have eveything. If you don't need money it doesn't mean that everyone on that forum too by the way.
I spent two days ago 150 mils on air and don't have credits damage at all...So i'm rich because i joined Zemina.

When you need money you will come to Zemina bubble and buy imperial slaves in Zemina system. I hope you will find one with really good prices, because we theoretically we can lost them ALL one day..

BTW, I too have bought A-rated Cutter/Corvette/Anaconda/Pyton/Fas... list in bulding. I enjoy different ships in different pp activities.

If you don't know much about Power Play, except upgrades, i'm sad. I personally don't care about upgrades. They are all almost useless and don't give sensible advantage. Just Bonus.

Many people here wants to be in some community and tired from other things in that game. I was like that...

ps I will looking forward too next update 1.6 and horizons. They will be awesome. ;) [up]

I might be upgrading to a t9 as soon as tonight. At this point, I could almost afford an Anaconda, but I'd have to sell off my entire admittedly meager fleet to get it. I have a nice route that doesn't involve slave trading, and with a t9, I could easily make 7-8 million an hour, then trade up to a 'conda and grind for the credits for a Corvette.

I found that once I bought a T9, making money was no longer difficult in ED. Just find a good trade route and with a bit of patience the credits roll in.

The T9 financed my FDL and corvette. Most of my early credits in the game were made mining - I mined in a T6 and a T7, but the T9 made mining obsolete as trading became massively more profitable. I'm hoping that 1.6/2.1 will give me some reasons to get back into mining...it's a rather peaceful activity.

I mined a lot in early days too. So it is up to you.

Power play, if you pledged to trade power, like Zemina, is very a peaceful activity. Sure. Do you think you have to combat? No. But if you want you can.

I did try powerplay, twice so far in the many moons since I began this game. What I found was rather than fellow Cmdrs all working toward the common good, fortifying systems under threat, they were merely flying the shortest jump to the nearest control system and fortifying it to over 3000% just in order to gain merits.

Either that or they were flying around in pure combat builds pretending to undermine other systems whilst their own was in chaos... some teamwork. I spent many millions of my own credits fortifying systems under threat whilst the lazy flew 7ly to gain merits and work toward a set of Imperial hammers.

Since I started with the Lidpar pilot training facility many months ago, I've also dished out many millions in wing trade benefits to newer Cmdrs, donated many hundreds of tons of rares/Imperial slaves/Painite and expensive cargo to many more new pilots, helped them on their way in whatever path they chose in ED by sharing helpful tips on how to get there, so my attitude in game is not purely driven by selfish pursuit....it still isn't. I'd rather help someone out with a helpful attitude than shoot them down simply because they are there.

I still like to play the game whilst I'm doing it, powerplay simply isn't one of the things I can do that are in any way helpful to other folks by my experience :)

Mole, You wanted Hammers, you got it. Do you like them? )
Hammers is ALD Power. This power using ONLY combat for fortify/control. It is clean combat power.
If you want just upgrade and join power that doesn't EVEN suit your gameplay i can only be sad for you.

I joined pp after months of playing after i tired from everyting all, and from community goals too.. Joined not because of upgrades, but for new things.

And powerplay open my eyes, there is so much things if you look better.. Do you know what is BGS for example? you have not mention this

I've been playing the BGS from early on in my own adopted system, helping with expansion to the minor faction of my choice...I much prefer to help manipulate that to the separate minigame that is powerplay. I joined the Alliance the first time I toyed with powerplay... for no other reason than it was the chosen power of the folks I played with. I reached rank 4 in a few hours merely underming, lasted less than a week due to the interference pledging had on my general gameplay helping others.

More recently... I tried a more shallow and self serving approach by pledging to ALD merely for the Imperial hammers. I decided against a combat focused route since I really don't have any interest in an adversarial approach to playing ED, be it PvP or PvE...I play the game, use combat as something that happens occasionally as I'm doing something else. I do fly PvE in Hasres or CZ's if the mood takes me. But by choice, I'm a miner.

I reached rank 5 in a few hours purely by fortifying in the Cutter paying many millions to advance the next batch of fortifying equipment and dropping 728t at a time on a system in danger.... I lasted 2 weeks and 3 days since it became a job, not recreation. I didn't fire my weapons once during this time. Meanwhile, whilst wasting time faffing about in a big ship spending money and topping up the funds I spent by going on slaving runs for a few hours, I could have been helping folks out and doing something useful.

I take a selfish satisfaction in the fact that a few of those I've helped in the months I've been at the Lidpar pilot training facility saw fit to mention it... most of those are still friends I fly regularly alongside, be it a few hours in a hazres or helping out with wing trade benefits whilst trading. I'm certainly no stranger to wing flying or just being around when I'm occasionally needed.

I take more satisfaction that many I've helped by merely winging up to share a few friendly hours have gone on to enjoy the game their own way, some to the Fuel rats, other pilots moved on to help others in thier own way, spreading experience. Not a bad way to spend some game time with friends in my opinion :)
