Corvette nerf for buff...

I would sacrifice the large hardpoint and a couple utility mounts for a larger fsd drive. Would any of you change anything if given the option?
 
I always thought a neat feature would be custom built ships. You choose the hull, then by paying Cr (amount dependent on ship and type of change, but always big money) to modify the ship. Like say combining two class 2 spots into 1 class four. I'd love the see the crazy builds people would come up with.
 
I would rather have the 2 small hardpoints removed and swapped for 2 mediums. Either that or have the hull armour increased so its more than the cutters.

I don't think that would be a good idea. Broken builds would crop up faster than FDev could slap them down.
 
I would love a buff to Jump range 11.8ly max jump is horrid. Not at the cost of hardpoints though.
i would have loved an increase too, 'would have' being past tense - i sold my 'vette a couple of days ago after finally admitting to myself that i had hundreds of millions of cr wrapped up in a ship that never got used, it just sat there gathering dust, which is a pretty dumb investment. many players seem to like it the way it is, but i am not one of them.

R.I.P. Corvette, you will be... forgotten. cash from your sale was used to buy a mining Anaconda, a mining Python and helped buy a second Cutter and already those three ships have been used more than you ever were
 
I think the bonnet (hood) is longer on a Stingray :)
You'd be about right! haha. That said, I still love the new Corvette Stingray's, they're a proper sports car.

As for what I'd change to the corvette... hmm, I do agree a longer jump range would be nice, then again I'll never fly one as it's a Federal Ship :D

By crazy you mean "What is the most efficient build possible?" and then never deviating from it?
 
It would be nice to have a better fsd range but that would make the corvette tread on the anaconda's toes - it would make it a better trader when it's supposed to be a federal warship

The change I would like with the corvette would be to add a 2nd large hardpoint and get rid of the 2 small

Don't people already do that now? Vulture with twin pulses, ships with a combo of lasers and multis? Or even 8 SCB stacked on top of each other.

Of course it will never be in the game, but as StasisWolf said, were all day dreaming here. If nothing else could provide a certain flavor for people who think outside the box.
 
the jump range isn't as much of an issue as people make out IMO, if you want a big ship to trade with better jump range there's the conda/cutter it's not very often I jump 150+ light years as my home system is quite central
