As pointed out above - nice surface texture too. Great to see more detail added!

On the wheeltracks - how long do they persist? I know they'll never be permanent, but it'd be great if they could last at least a few minutes. Not just for cosmetic reasons, sometimes I'm on the path towards a POI and want to veer off to investigate something. Being able to get back "on track" by looking for these would be a big help.

Totally agree, not too thrilled with the SCB / Heatsink changes.

Never understood how making people leave a fight to re-ammo a utility module is good for balancing, and is anything other that frustrating/annoying?

As regards the SCBs change, where you used to run them in parallel, as long as you can now fire off SCBs quickly enough (under a single Heat Sink effect), then that should be workable, and a nice alternative approach...

But if FD have instead prevented that, it will be frustrating to see parallel SCB usage killed.

My real beef is with the heatsink -1. All my big ships run 2 SCB's each, and 1 heatsink to SCB. I'm always left with an SCB I can't use without frying my ship, or installing a third heatsink launcher which would of course scrub a shield booster from the build. QQ I know, but [sad] all the same. I guess it'll be 3 heatsink modules for 2 SCB's from now on.
 
Currently liking the fact that I get a connection error when I self destruct so have to take the long route back to the bubble only 5000lys!
 
So I have new launcher but no beta down load ? I purchased Premium Beta so should have access to beta but not seeing it, I am located in U.S. so not sure if this is why.
Anyone else having this issue? Thanks for any info.

A very impressive list of changes. Two things I didn't see, and may have just missed them (I hope) that would be nice to have are:

1) Prevent collection drones from picking up jettisoned/abandoned cargo.

2) Storing modules at stations (This seems more necessary given the Engineers update).

Well I've not really tried out much in terms of the new engineers / missions content but there's a massive improvement with planetary visuals and frame rate. Getting a steady 60 fps (GTX 770 4GB) on planetary surfaces with Terrain Quality and Terrain Materials Quality both on ultra. I've only landed on 2 planets but looking very good so far.

Thank you Frontier. The list of changes and new features is massive. From what i have seen by throwing a short look, it seems, that you have really done a job in this update. Will continue to read now and looking forward to fly a round or twentyfive :)

Well tried downloading beta & got this error - Update failed for file
"C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\PUBLIC_TEST_SERVER_64\Win64\Items\ships\Cutter\Cutter_Cockpit\data.ovl" (validation error) - any one else getting this ?
