As soon as this CG is over, I'm going to go grab my trusty DBX and head out. I've seen too many posts about exploration in the last week to do anything else. I was going to wait for Horizons, but I can't do it.

I still haven't been to Betelgeuse. I haven't really been anywhere in the direction of the near Rim. I think maybe I'll run to Betelgeuse, then look for something interesting and go from there.

Don't stay gone too long, you'll need to come back to pick up an SRV. :p

I'm glad to see so many people into Exploration lately. They take nice pictures of their findings which lets me see the beauty of some planets out there without going to them myself, haha.

Betelgeuse is one of my stops so might see you there in my DBX

I've decided next time I go out will be to one of the bottom corners of the galaxy. I've been to the core, so it has to be one of the extremities next. :)

VY Canis Majoris is not far from beteljeuse and worth a visit if you haven't been to see it! I was planing a exploration to see the hypergiants/supergiants but most of them are not in the game unfortunately.

Once i nab an SRV I'll be heading out again, i plan to hit Betelgeuse as well then i want to head to the bubble nebula.

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone. I'm probably only going to stay out for a week or so. My poor DBX has been sitting in dock since I got back from Sag A* four months ago, and I feel bad. It'll be nice to get away from the grind for a while before I come back and put my nose to the grindstone to get to Rear Admiral before Horizons comes out.

Have fun. I'm at the other side of the Galaxy, gonna head home for Horizons. I've not seen Betelgeuse either, I've not seen anything near the Orion Spur apart from Coalsack and the Distant Worlds route. There's a lot to see, and I can't wait.
