Hardware & Technical Cannot install saitek x52 pro drivers :(

Installed a new motherboard : Z170X- gaming 3 and windows 7 64
When I try the original drivers from the CD or the new ones from the website the program just gets stuck after i plug in the controller.
If I leave it plugged in the computer cannot shut down or boot up.
Have spent hours searching google for solutions but none have helped yet :(
Tried different USB ports to no avail.
Hoping someone can help me out on here as I hear saitek support is terrible...

I have updated my drivers but still having trouble getting everything to work. I hit the "I" button and the LED on the hat switch blinks, also my mouse "stick" and button do not work at all... but when I go into the editor for windows all that stuff works fine. Am I doing something wrong and have any of you had this issues be fore?

To fix the (i) button, disable the Enable Clutch Mode in the Control Panel and for the mouse stick, set the Mouse X and Y Axis to unprogrammed in the Profile Editor; the stick is useless.

In regards to the OP, try a diffrent USB port then try installing the drivers again. If that didn't work, try the original port again. For some strange reason this worked for me on Windows 10.

Tried different drivers from the FTP site. They seem to be installing ok, and now I can plug in the controller without my OS freezing.
However I can't get any of the software to install properly, as it doesn't seem to recognize the controller.
ED isn't picking it up either in the controls...
