What are you doing to get ready...

There's some prep work needs getting done before these beautiful updates drop...thought id share some of mine.

IN GAME-
-get my land fall ships ready and a list of planets that will be landed on immediately
-Pad my bank account so $$$ wont be a problem with any engineer or hard point purchases
-Thinking of abandoning my power, start with a clean slate

REAL LIFE-
-Elite controller purchase (re-mapping makes me drool)
-Slowly convincing the wife and kids to visit their aunt for a weekend ("Why do you keep saying go visit Meg with the kids in late Q2, I don't know what that means?")
-Slowly start implementing earlier bed times for the kids (I should be at 3:30pm by June)
-Possible unfortunate accident of current TV....forced purchase of new better TV
-Hire someone to cut the grass and take in the mail....I dont want to worry the neighbors

I'm just trying to get to Elite in combat before the Horizons comes out my self I'm so close to Deadly I can taste it! I just want at Founders World for the 10% and not having to run around to find equipment. By the way that Elite controller, it actually only maps buttons from the controller ie: A,B,C... buttons it wont give you any new buttons to use on the game... but don't get me wrong I love mine just being able to not move my thumbs off the sticks for anything but the D-pad Rocks. Also the build on it... it just feels better than the stock ones.

In game - Have all but 1 ship maxed out so having to earn the money for it
IRL debating on getting a stronger PC with the release of the GTX 1080 which is stronger than a titan for half the price for the pc version, issues with that is i'd essentially be starting over.

That elite controller is immensly overpriced though. Don't know why they charge almost twice as much as for a regular one.

Well, I've just blown most of my credits on an Anaconda. I hope the planetary landing stuff isn't too expensive!

Regardless, I'm going to have a hunt for some more smuggling missions, then I may well head out on another exploration trip. I've gone to Sag A so I think this time I'll go to one of the bottom edges of the galaxy and scan loads of stuff. I'd like to get closer to Elite rank for exploring.
