So if you're docked while it moves to beagle point, does it take you with it? Surely it wouldn't but I feel it's worth asking.

It makes sense, it would be kinda of cool to have an "ark" appeal to the journey though. Have CMDRs dock and a random 30 are selected to jump with it as per their ship size corresponding to the landing pads.

If that were to happen... many others would feel slighted and "unloved". Jealousy... Betrayal... all those 'cool' human emotions :D
Besides, stripping the station down does makes MUCH more sense... especially for such a long... long... long! trip.

Can't wait to see what actually happens though! :p

And then there is that one commander that docked there half a year a go and hasn't had time to play. So when he finally fires up elite again he's sitting on the other side of the galaxy because he had no clue about the jump and was picked by random. Depending on the ship he was flying it could be a though way home (mining equipped T9 or sth. like that).
Not sure if anyone would enjoy that ;-)

Correction, kick everyone out of the station and place a set lottery dock date of between 1 or 2 days. Although that would be hilarious to see their reaction for that because even if they were to try and blow up to reset it would just bring them right back to Jaques. Have fun exploring back to the bubble in your D rated eagle.

Can you imagine having your entire fleet apart from say a sidewinder stored there. How amazing would that be for a hard-reset without actually loosing anything!! :p

Landed at Jaques last night to see if there was a shipyard. I was curious whether you could buy a combat ship and leave it at Jaques so when you go out to Beagle's Point in an exploration ship there's a combat ship waiting for you. Fortunately not.
