OP, I just noticed that nobody has linked you to the above website yet, so I'll do the honours.

Coriolis is a web-tool that allows you to build on "paper" your ships before you actually buy them. This will allow you to see how much a ship will cost, what its performance is like, and several other important factors.

And to add, when buying a ship and/or modules for said ship, if you buy your ship or modules in a system run by Li Yong-Rui, you'll get a 15% discount on normal prices and every little helps when you're starting out. :)

You can use EDDB, which you've already been linked to, to find LYR systems selling the ships & parts you need.

A good system to start is Diaguandri, followed by Borr.

This is an amazing tool to have at your disposal, I must also add:

That helps me find any modules/hardpoints/etc around my location. It's not the most accurate at times but it helps to find anything you'd ever need.

You need a seriously tough ship to take on assassination missions that involve a wing. And tbh once you are, you can go wreck shop in a Haz Rez or CZ, both of which pay better.

Thanks for posting this rare route, I've noticed it contains a lot of locations I currently visit during my rare run (rajukru > 39 tauri), how does it compare in terms of cr/hour?

CZ income is way below HazRez BHing. It's slightly better for combat ranking, but in terms of cash, they're all combat oriented ships you're fighting with rewards several times less than if you killed a wanted equivalent.

Stop trying to confuse the guy ;) Though I'll second you that bringing a wing-bud can really speed things up.

Always found a HazRes more entertaining - CZs feel a bit sanitary flying about and shooting on repeat. If there is an issue, it's because OP was in a HiRes, which is dull compared to both of them ;)

Don't get me wrong, I love a good ruck in a CZ every now and then. But HazRes fighting has always been the most fun and profitable my end.

Interesting. What does the (r) stand for? I assume that's not just rare.

(r) is refuel, (*) is sell all rares. I also trade regular commodities in between to bolster profits. The listing goes:
