Xbox One Update

Hey guys, I was playing earlier today and saw the message regarding the update, so I logged off and waited a couple of hours. Have tried to get back into the game and now can't log on. My internet connection is fine and all other games/apps that I've tried are working fine. Has any one else experienced this issue since the patch?

I'm hoping this update resolves my online play. I've been forced to play solo for the last few weeks. The ticket said uninstall and reinstall the game which I'm really not wanting to do.
I thought it might have been an xbox live gold issue, but membership is fine, although the gold subscription did coincidentally renew on the day these issues occurred.

Restart your Xbox (hard boot) either by going to the:

Left menu>Settings>Restart console
--or--
Holding the power button on the Xbox until it turns off.

When you get back to your dashboard, start the game and it should automatically prompt you to download the update.

Hopefully this resolves your issue. :)

I tried deciphering the 2.1 patch notes the best I could. But I didn't see anything about the lighting problem where a system's light only comes from the main object, regardless how many stars the system may have. So, jumping into a black hole system with planets, all the planets appear blacked out, even if there are other stars around it.

Has that been addressed at all?

When I saw the update screen I thought for a moment that maybe 1.6 or Horizons was coming. :) Anyway, any update is good news, thanks!

Exactly. I saw the update today and that was the first thing that came to mind. Then I saw it was only 122mb.

I never got any update. Yes i restarted the Xbox and the game was even fully quit. And the update does nothing good for me anyway.
And there's no way to do a get info on games and apps to see their version that I know of.

Press both triggers + "select" (I believe it's called the "view" button now?) in the "my games and apps" screen. The selected game tile (or app) will then display an info box (or rather an "info stripe") including the version number. Current version is something like 1.5.107.6.

^^^^^ This is correct and the best way to check you have the latest version.
