As long as you know how to aim them, they are an amazing weapon. Using the huge is fun, but when you miss it's like throwing credits out the cargo hatch!
It will, but hitting that PP with a purple ball of death is so satisfying I don't know if I could bring myself to change.
I'm thinking of trying dual normal PAs but hesitant to after I tried it with the APACs. I don't like them too much as they drain the capacitor too fast and were a bit too blunt for my taste but that's PAs in general (that blunt part). I'm thinking of 1 large 1 med and the rest pulse or burst lasers.

I use two mediums on my FAS and it's awesome. The large pulse will fire and recharge the capacitor then I fire the two PA. It's alot of fun.

I love PAs too - they need some practise and skill (esp. against fast moving targets). Worth the effort though!

Can't wait for the large MC's. At that point I'll switch the loadout on my FDL from 4 large pulse lasers to 2 large beams and 2 large MC's. Maybe another MC on the huge hardpoint for good measure. I can just picture the carnage now.

The FDL has 4 Medium and 1 Huge mount, no large mounts at all.

With the FDL i go one HUGE MC, 4 med bursts or Pulse. depence how fast the bursts drains energy.
I go with 4 med and one large pa on my fdl, with a huge you have to get the capacitor nearly full to fire all pa. With a lage I can get 2 shots of all 5 .
Haha that's the same FAS setup I use and its fantastic!
I swear I have more fun in that ship than most others. It's a joy to fly around and fun to shoot it off its guns.
I have gone for the whole enchilada!
1 large beam on top, and 3 pac's underneath!
I sneak up on my prey and once the kws has completed, I let loose a barrage of plasma, this tends to decimate shields, drains half the capacitor but it recharges quick enough, then I wade in with my gimbaled laser on the pp, complimented by more plasma as they reload... Bliss
I like my size 4 PAC on the Anaconda... on the Ferdie too, but I stick to 2 rails and 3 large pulses on the Python...just love the instantaneous bang-flash of a lot of damage. Sadly, they only have 30 rounds each, but I'm a BB trader/smuggler when I'm in the Python and have no real need of a lot of ammo or lengthy engagements
