Lost my ship in a Glitch....

So I had just got done evading a pull from jump speed headed to LTT 18486. in my MKIV Viper. When I land My ship and cargo is no more. Instead is reverted back to Sidewinder. Yes I have the Credits to purchase another but I shouldn't have to. Any idea how to get my ship back??

Did you record the glitch killing you? If you did, you could have filed a Support Ticket and FD might refund you the rebuy cost.

You should have just rebought it either way.

Some cmdr's might feel a certain attachment to that particular ship and not want to have to buy another one.

I'm thinking the same. It drives me nuts though a glitch of such magnitude. Start the trip in a MKIII Viper and land with a Sidewinder.

I had my MKIII Decked out to. Larger power plant etc etc.

I don't know how FD is able to do things serverside, but I know they've refunded people rebuy costs in the past, when shown proof. Like the multiple times people get launched like a pinball inside a station, getting killed by the impact.

But with OPs case, they chose to start over after that, and I don't know if they recorded it so it looks like they are out of luck. Best thing to do is make a Bug Report detailing the glitch, so that FD can fix it and prevent it from happening in the future.

I was referring to the "Xbox Record That" game clip showing FD that you died to a glitch so you aren't to blame for the death and therefore should be given whatever the cost of the ship was back to you.

I'd contact them, they've refunded my money without a video before. That was back in GPP though, so not sure if they still do that. The last few times I've had video evidence.

Send a ticket to 'em regardless.

At worst, they'll say they can't help. At best, you'll be given a pile of Cr. It's worth a shot, Fdev has excellent CS.
