I think 1.6 will be here this week...
Did anyone else spot in the Wyrd CG what the global award showed up as the other night?

It showed, only temporarily as it's hidden now, the global reward as Huge Gimbaled Pulse Laser Unlocked. Now I'm sure previous CG rewards are made available straight after CGs end, so I'm hoping it's Thursday update time

Eh. I wouldn't get your hopes up. The huge pulse is in the 2.1 beta I don't think there would have to be a massive effort to add it into the game, they might've sneaked in the models and stuff in the latest patch. Now if you could suddenly land on a planet or the planets textures were updated then you could probably go all panicky.

Im not 100% sure, but i think those new weapons will in be in 1.6. Its part of the change in the basegame since non Horizons players will also have access to those big guns.

Cynical might be on to something. But like Error said, dont get your hopes up just yet.. 1.6 as well as 2.1 is in Beta on PC. this beta will run 4-6 weeks. Official release is not yet known on PC.

Surely 1.6 won't drop until after the beta. I think we are a few weeks away yet.

No. CG rewards are usually available in the next major update. We had to wait months for the Hutton Mug to appear so don't sweat it.

Oh well, it was a nice thought while it lasted... Now I'm disappointed :-(

I can't help but think 1.6 will be here(us & PC) before 2.1 is, just so many changes in 2.1 compared to 1.6.

The Wyrd Cg was extended by a week, so I'm updating my guess for 1.6 to arrive next week.

I am still banking on Horizons being made available on 16th June (end of e3 and one year after gpp), so this would give us four weeks of 1.6 goodness, to be tested in the wild, ready for Horizons. We know the xbox 1.6 is/was in closed beta so I'm not convinced that will be weeks before it lands, softly and smoothly...

So i dont know if this an actual concern or not, but wont we need horizons to drop before engineers? Because we will have to land at planetary bases for just about every engineer right? So horizons and then 1.6?

Horizons is 2.#, regular Elite dangerous is 1.#. They are one update, yet seperate.

Easy mistake, 1.6 will not have access to Engineers because they are on planet's which were 2.0 exclusive. this way they upgrade the base game and the main game with improvements while still adding extra "bling" features for thos who paid extras.
