Yee boi!

I hear there's a Southern Belle... *drools*

She can tell me what to do all day...

Watching videos of players in the beta, some of them have questioned if the serial number or whatever it is that is said to you when you approach a station is unique to you or not, or if it's persistent at all. Anyone know anything on that part?

It's first three letters of CMDR name. Commander ChaosWulff was "Charlie Hotel Alpha" and others I've watched followed the same pattern.

Something that has bothered me about this for a while now...

I went to college for aviation, and spend a lot of time in the cockpit (I no longer fly professionally now, though).
One thing I've noticed about the controllers in Elite is that they are all too cheerful.
I've always been drawn to the darkness and real/dirty feeling that Elite has. Sort of the opposite of No Mans Sky. Probably part of why I'm not bothered about NMS.
But I felt like the cheerful traffic controllers in Elite don't really match the rest of the game.

You mean cheerful like..."Loitering is a crime punishable by death..." :)

They're on Onion Head! How can they act serious on that stuff? :p

I love the Japanese lady in Empire stations who sounds suitably apologetic in typical Japanese fashion whilst explaining the ways in which they'll blow your ship up for any other reason than parking...

I keep expecting to hear the Japanese word 'Sumimasen' somewhere in there :D
