Station traffic control voices

Something that has bothered me about this for a while now...

I went to college for aviation, and spend a lot of time in the cockpit (I no longer fly professionally now, though).
One thing I've noticed about the controllers in Elite is that they are all too cheerful.
I've always been drawn to the darkness and real/dirty feeling that Elite has. Sort of the opposite of No Mans Sky. Probably part of why I'm not bothered about NMS.
But I felt like the cheerful traffic controllers in Elite don't really match the rest of the game.

LOL, not all of them, some of them are not very "cheerful" however IRL there are cheerful ATC controllers :D

Maybe its just the British ones? Are they all that cheerful?
Lol. Most of them that I've dealt with here in the states sound like they are (Insert word for "very upset". forgot about the filters!) for just having to even speak with you.

Ahh, I see what you mean now... we don't have that on Xbox yet. It does sound a bit more Star Wars than real life I must admit :)

I know, I'm an xboxer as well, but I like to watch all the tasty PC goodness that we will be getting soon!

Just remember, the sexier the tower girls voice, the uglier she is. LoL.

As a controller, I'll say you are correct. Although my cheerfulness correlates to the time of day: afternoon is more, morning is less. Also how much coffee I've had.

Why they need to do is add some chat if you have illegal cargo or are wanted
to make this more meaningful.
so your smuggling and the control will start with callsign Alpha Romeo Mike we have detected anomalous cargo in your manifest submit for inspection by docking officials in bay 3
another one would be Wanted callsign Echo Romeo Romeo Local law enforcement have been contacted and are on route, please submit or face the consiqunces

They'd need to complet a scan first though...right?

Of course no disrespect is meant. Controllers are some of my favorite people (and like with most pilots, have probably saved my life more than once). But, they are VERY efficient (which I love) and that gives them a certain... dryness? lol
Of course there are the occasional jokers. But I feel like the majority are very business-like. Especially at high traffic locations. So in game, I feel like a busy terminal would have a more no-nonsense controller. and Maybe the outposts would have the occasional funny-guy?

Friend me on Live and I'll put her on. I won't even charge the premium rates you've no doubt been paying up til now! lol

Wouldn't be any trouble, 'sugah'.

I've also got a sister-in-law in NC you can have. :S

I understand. I have some fun every once in a while but you have to be careful because a joke can come off as...ish over the radio. Rest assured we make fun of you all the time though.

I can't post what the thought of that did to me.

They're on Onion Head! How can they act serious on that stuff? :p

whoops, didn't see this when I posted my comment.

up to the dev's really, yes for what I have suggested but you could also add stuff before you have been scanned such as call sign Echo Romeo Romeo we have details possibly matching you to a wanted CMDR in the local system, submit relevant documents on landing. Gives you a little thing that your wanted and there is a poster out their saying wanted dead or alive. Makes you feel loved

Immersion. We all love immersion.
I like my games like I like my women (ow, WOMAN. Jeez): Deep immersion and preferably no running around collecting shiny baubles. :D
