I think I'm finally going to get my Anaconda tomorrow.

I've got 90 million at the moment, along with a T9 that I'm willing to sell. That should give me more than enough cash to buy and outfit a 'conda for trade. I think that I'll get another few million traded up, just to give myself even more of a buffer, then go buy a 'conda in LYR space tomorrow night. I remember a few days ago someone recommended a system to head to for purchase and outfitting, but I can't remember the system, or the thread it was in. So, anyone have any suggestions/remember the name of the system that was mentioned?

Yeah buddy! Bout to get mine soon too. Gonna sell the python. Gotta make sure I have enough for insurance tho. Heh. Should net me twice as much as the python. Gonna have to look that discount station up. See if it's not too far away..

I've been using trade helpers btw.. With the conda I will be able to make about 2 mill in 10 minutes. So about 12 in an hour. That sound good or are there better runs to be making besides the long distance ones?

Keep the Python, the 'Conda's great but it can't land at outposts and will be a PIG around high-G worlds in Horizon. The Python's a good alternate.

i just recently got my conda and i absolutely loves it (got the gold paint job for it also to celebrate). am using it for trading atm,but i do plan on doing some exploration in it at some point (maybe going to visit jaques when he jumps to beagle point).

i wish you godspeed in buying your condas and safe flying commanders o7

This. I loved my Annie, (just got a Corvette) but you really need a Python as a second ship. Most missions end at outposts, and you don't want to be sinking into a 6G planet with an Annie.

I'm hoping that there are some good engineer mods for the Python's FSD so I can take her to Beagle.

It's a fantastic ship.

I like the Anaconda, just remember that the outfitting costs much more than the initial purchase price. Give yourself some room and have enough for outfitting, commodities that you want to purchase, and 2-3 rebuys, because you are either gonna wreck it a few times, or get killed by something. Enjoy your new ship!

This is only true if you're A-rating everything. Doing a pure trade build on an Anaconda will probably set you back around 35m on top of the ship, even less if you're not needing a fuel scoop and therefore are able to stick with a D-rated power plant.

^^^ Pretty much this. I should have about 20 million to spare, after outfitting, which is more than enough.

Just don't want to see you coming up short. I always see people get just enough for the stock ship, then go out and get destroyed on the first trip out of the slot.

Love my Annie, best thing I did was selling the Cutter and Corvette and going back to it...unfortunately, the 24 mil buyback when it's A rated is as much as a Cutter :(

Congrats on the Anaconda. It's the most beautiful and amazing ship out there. Since it's not a corvo, you don't look like a dbag flying it.

If you are pressed for cash when you buy it, consider downgrading the stock parts. Start with a basic trading setup to make some quick cash. That'll allow you to downgrade your power plant, distributor and thrusters. Downgrading those will also increase your jump range a bit, which is ideal if you can't afford a big boy FSD

Also, buy gold paint. It's even more beautiful.

I pulled the trigger and bought it last night. I outfitted it for trading, and I've still got enough for several rebuys. I think I'm going to get the vibrant paint pack so I can have an arrest-me red Anaconda.
