This June, our universe will change. Forever.

Source please?

Don't think there is one... wishful projective thinking I guess. Xbox updates will still be delayed by Micro$oft certification to an extent... But not delayed to the massive disparity of the Horizons release. We'll be on par with PC version wise after 2.1, but the update and patching system will still be behind PC.

DB has stated in a video interview that we'll get 1.6 first, then Horizons. I'm suspecting he knows a thing or two :)

What Mole said. DB said we're getting 1.6 before Horizons.

I wouldn't say it is entirely pessimistic, it is a realistic look at what is happening. I share the perspective of Trent. Ships that cruise at 600m/S and boost at 800m/s, or have in the neighborhood of 9000mj shielding could very well change the core dynamic of the game.

If you want to call this pessimistic, call the thread overly optimistic. We haven't had the pleasure of experiencing these updates or expansion. We have no real way of knowing other than watching others or playing on PC. We as the Xbox community just get what we get. If FD was concerned about our input and experience Xbox would be invited to do Beta testing as well. We aren't. We just get what we get. Could be good, could be bad, could be somewhere between. We just won't know until it is here and we can experience it... Which, as far as major changes to mecahnics of the game is too late.

I'm hopeful it is good, but not everything new is...

Saying 'If FD was concerned about our input and experience Xbox would be invited to do Beta testing as well.' is presumptuous and reductive. How many devs do carry out Beta testing? Ok, and of them how many carry out Beta testing of DLC? And of THEM, how many devs would consider themselves failures unless the entire user-base was involved? There you go then. Also, you make it sound like FDev has never listen to the Xbone community. They have. The very fact that they are aligning future releases is a rare show of love (from devs, not FDev!). And I'm even sure they're planning anything that constitutes a 'major change' to the game mechanics. I would suggest a major change might be removing weapons, period. What I've seen from the patch notes is a MASSIVE list of minor changes. Too many in fact for a Beta to act as a net for, possibly, but then maybe that's just a measure of a) their confidence and b) the perceived need for the changes.
We'll see... (albeit slightly later than the Master Race)

How come DB has the inside track and we don't? I seem to have formed the impression we pay and he gets paid. Scoundrel! :D

The game will change, but if you're actually keeping up with the beta, it's not all for the better. In fact there are many changes that hurt us and will force us to change how we completely play the game. Yes there are a lot of great things but there are still a lot of bad. the Dev's have changed a lot of stuff since beta but not all of it will be changed.
I'm coming at it completely fresh. I know my ship will have a hangar and I'll need to buy an SRV, but I have no idea where from, I have no idea how to launch or drive one. I have no idea how to land, for that matter.
I'm going to have so much fun figuring it out, that I haven't even looked in the beta forums once. I can't wait.

Oh, and we'll be on par with PC from 2.2 onwards, not 2.1 (unless it's changed since, but that was the last official word)

Brace y'self Bongo. I played on beta 3 for a few hours and rolled the dice about 20 times, i figured in about a month of my normal play I might scrape together the mats for 20 upgrades.

Anyway, what I got was a Vulture with twin class 3 multi cannon both with at least double normal rate of fire. A rated thrusters improved by 17%, upgraded military bulkheads, shields recharge about 12% quicker, in fact nearly every module has been buffed to some extent. It fly's and fights like a dream, 455m/s boost i think. Any ship now can be made awesome

Performance on PC is much improved both in FPS and appearance(on planets), so I really think you are looking good when Horizons is released for the bone. I suspect you will not have too long to wait to try all this out yourself.

So pessimistic. It's called a "Beta" for a reason. Nothing is final and if there's enough of an outcry over something, it's likely to be fixed.

MoM even said the AI will be tweaked to run away less.

Why did you delete the rest of my quote leaving out where I specifically said it's in BETA and stuff changes? Just trying to make yourself look good or something by repeating what I already said?

But when we do get horizons, our version is going to be paired with PC, right?

I am getting pretty excited about it though, really looking forward to zipping over a planet

Yes we will be very close. Every major update will still require a beta period which will happen on PC but that's about it as far as Xbox and PC separation goes.

Sorry, I'll pass on the Sweat-n-sour sauce... maybe some sweet and sour... but sweat just isn't my thing with food...

LOL I should pay more attention when I post I suppose. If you don't like sweat in your food though you shouldn't eat out. ;)

They salt is reel bongo ;)

Sweats the least of your problems, take it from someone who worked at a few fast food places. Example: I had to quit a job becasue a person would spit in every white persons meal for no other reason than, and I quote, "those white @$$holes desreve it." I've never eaten at that place though luckilly.
