Thinking back to my youth, I can remember wearing high heeled shoes: there was a brief period in the '70's when they were the fashion for men. I'm glad to say it didn't last long, probably because tripping over your own feet at the disco did little to enhance your 'pulling power'.

Yeah, society is going to collapse if women don't wear shoes that make them look two inches higher than they otherwise would. Obviously. And to avoid any similar dangers, men must grow full-length beards...

Nope, my mind is going to implode and became a black hole, what eats up the whole solar system... :D

And yes, society is already collapsing. Right around you, you just don't get it, because you living in it, and get used to it.
For an example? Birth rates, It's all good and cheesy if a woman have equal rights, and can build a career, and i can't say a damn thing against it! But if she does who is going to give birth babies? HM?
:)

Who?

If we lose all the remaining social differences, between man and woman, than how you going to threat her, to feel special? If they can continue this kind of ultrafenimist bull , like don't touch me don't look at me, don't you dare to buy me flower, because if you do than its a criminal offense, and sexual harassment!

Do you really want to live in a world like this?

The laws on equality say that men and women's dress codes do not have to be the same (i.e. pencil skirts acceptable for men), only that equal levels of must be enforced, i.e. a strict formal dress code for women, no code for men, would be unacceptable.

It's an issue with society that "formal" for women tends to include a heel or in fact women's formal wear tends to be less comfortable than mens.

That being said, it does cut both ways, I was pretty envious of the female staff wearing open neck, short sleeve blouses serving at weddings in high summer as I sweated away in full shirt, dress trousers, waist coat and bow tie!

It seems some people here mistake abolishing mandatory high heels with banning them altogether. It should simply be a personal choice whether one wants to wear high heels or flat shoes, period. Some women love them, some women hate them, but no one should be allowed to mandate them.

And the same should go for dresses, skirts, trousers and shirts. Requiring "formal attire" for certain jobs or events is fine, but let everyone choose what they like out of the total set of formal attire. A woman in a suit or tuxedo - sure, why not?

Good point! :)

But it's a tuxedo and a cylinder! Nothing can be more gentleman-ish than this right? :D

You know what, forget it. You want to be condescending towards women, and I can't change that. I just re-read one of your posts and realized you used (but were auto-censored, which for the record I find silly) the common Godwin-style derogative used against feminists. That automatically disqualifies you for any discussions of these matters anyway. Goodbye.

Bye! :D I hope i never see you again, and i seriously hope the liberalfenimist idiocy not makes impossible to have a good laughter in a joke like this. ;) And i even more seriously hope there is enough man and woman have anough sane brain left in the middle of the liberal policorrectness, brainshrinking, to know, when is a joke just a joke. Because sonny, there is nothing in this world in case of opinions, and jokes, what's not offends someone. So as far, the intentions are not "evil"? And no one want to hurt someone else? What's the problem with it?

Because on the day when you can't have a good laughter about something like this, the world, is doomed.

EDIT;
Oh, and BTW? I can't make a decent joke, with no harm, done, and no ill will? What is this???

Fascism?

Don't worry hun, I still find you hilarious.

Men should be forced to wear heels, too.

High heels were originally men's shoes. It's quite amusing to see a social conservative going on about them being somehow essentially feminine

At GamesFirst/15 in Helsinki SuperCell provided everybody with a brand new pair of these beauties. Male, female, trans, ambiguous.... everybody wore the the same thing. They looked somewhat amusing paired with the suits and other formal ware of some of the participants, or the Goth style of Karoliina Korppoo of Cities Skylines fame :D

Seriously, give it a rest. If you want to do ANYTHING proactive, do it offline, and discarded the ego. Both gender. This is primarily school stuff.

True they are originally riding shoes, and trough the centuries they became fashion.

I would stop digging if I was you.
Am i?

How is that? :)

Appropriate formal wear for men:

No chance of society collapsing as long as men keep dressing like that... ;)

Fashion, and how it's changes.

This is 30 years old, and now we just laughing at.

OK, you and Marras, go offline and be real. Try!

Ok i got what you meant. :D Cool down. I have no problem right there.

In the other hand, i seen dozens of this forced humor trolleys. No bad intentions, nothing personal but its a fact, if nothing else works? Try sarcasm... thats the last attempt, to frame the other, gain a hold on him.
And you are right this is the absolute prelude of flame wars.
