Populated systems outside the bubble

Hey guys,

I am just curious, but when long range smuggling was discovered, was it that someone just found an inhabited system that was far from the bubble, and it happened to have missions?

I know there are a small handful of systems that are popular for long range missions, but it piqued my curiosity last night, and I played with the galaxy map for an hour or two, and found about 3 systems that are outside the bubble, but have stations and populations.

For example, there is one that is 584ly from Sol, and has a population of 5.7 million. When I google it, only elite dangerous trade datebase info pops up, but no forum posts or anything else that you would find with a system like robigo, fehu, and the others.

Another example I found was New Yembo. Although this system had a few threads on it, as there was a station being built there and the last post in a reddit thread was like a year ago or something.

I guess I will have to go to these systems and find out? time to build my first official exploration ship - been a long time coming since I started playing this game almost a year ago hahaha

New one on me, but colour me intrigued.
Where's our smugglers? That's the problem with 'em. You can never find the good ones! :D

I would venture to guess you are dead on it. Someone was probably playing wit the map and found a populated system. Flew out to check it out and BAM! Missions!

I even found an un-tagged neutron star on my Sag A run. It was off my path, but it felt good getting a first discovery on something like that. The map has so much information I highly doubt I have used all the filters yet. Good luck seeking out new spots!

There are a few out there... I messed around with the filters on the galaxy map early on and I've a few written in my usual heiroglyphic references in my notepad next to my chair. I haven't been out to them in a while, some have missions, some are just a place to visit if you're bored.

a good smuggler will keep his/her routes to them selves if they find a good one. Good chance there are few systems out there that have the robigo touch and not highly trafficked. Might go skirt the outer edge of the bubble this weekend and see whats up. if you want a wingman let me know

They are all much of a muchness. You need to pick one and do enough missions to become allied before it will start paying big credits though.

That was a fun part of my Sag A run. I found several previously unexplored black holes and neutron stars and 2 or 3 Herbigs.

I have a few outback systems i found i never ever saw another CMDR in it.. Just like Mole, ive bin playing with the Galaxy map filters, and im pretty sure, i have atleast one system, non of you know even excist. (it might be even 2)

And im also pretty sure there are DOZENS of other systems out there, nobody ever discoverd yet... Play around... And no, i wont tell were my little systems are located.. lol

I tried finding the post where you listed them....couldn't find it, but I wrote them down when you first posted them :D

I had already been to most of them though....

Thanks guys for the help and info! I will have to go and check out these systems. I wanted to get started on it last night, but wanted to buys a DBE first.

For some reason locating a DBE was not very easy. I googled locations that were said to have it, flew my AspE to my home base, then sidey-taxied my way to the station that was supposed to have it... and the DBE wasnt for sale there... Doh!

I eventually found one and got it built for exploring no more than 1,000ly from the bubble. - meaning no auto-field maintenance units. just light weight everything, no weapons, tiny shield, A4 Scoop, advanced scanner, and everything else is fuel - like 58T of fuel...and the only thing left is an A5 FSD. I could only seem to find B5 class FSD for some reason.
