I am a confused Baron.

Hit baron rank in empire, get Summerland permit, fly to Summerland, sits confused. The water planet is gorgeous, but is there a reason this system is permit locked? And rare commodities I'm overlooking? I didn't check too hard but it doesn't even look like they sell the clipper here...?

Well, Duke, here I come!!! ;D

Yeah, there isnt really a point to any imperial system permits. Sometimes community a goal will happen in these system but other than that nada.

Yeah, pretty clear that FDevs don't like the Empire, sadly. No starting systems in the Empire, permit systems are pretty, but otherwise useless, ranking up is a considerably longer and more difficult and tedious venture than Fed or Alliance. Ships are on the whole pretty danged good, though. And pretty to boot.

That's what'll keep me going in the Empire grind, the ships are beautiful. I ranked up to Admiral in two days, but to get to Baron took me weeks... One day, that Cutter will be mine, oh yes.

Got Baron 2 weeks ago and today the reached 50% Baron...... [downcast] But I have been playing around with the Clipper.

Clippy is my favorite ship. What She cant kill super fast She can outrun super fast.

Cutty is just a behemoth. I havent quite bonded with her yet. I prefer speed and grace but time will ultimately tell

Cutter is fast in a straight line and almost 100 more boost speed over a vette, best way I found to make up for lack of turning is as soon as a vette gets behind you hit boost then FA off to pull a 180, he will be trying to chase you as you're still gaining distance flying backwards which is lulz, besides if you choose to leave the fight nothing can mass lock you cept another cutter.

Way off topic, but I just realized what your avatar is from. Armored core for answer, right?

The bestest of Armored Core!!!

From software should have given us a new AC instead of the turd that is Dark Souls 3. But I digress

Bottom line, I own all the ships (except transporters). And most of them A rated with prismatic shields. But the Clipper is the one that feels like home. She is the one i always go back to. Ymmv
