I need help making cash fast

So, a few days ago I entered into a combat zone while I was aligned with the Alliance, at the time I was in the CAPH system, which I assumed was unaligned but I was wrong. A few minutes after entering the area, right when I was getting ready to align with a faction, I hear the sound of a capital ship warping in. In the next seconds, I see a Farragut Battle Cruiser coming out of warp. I then try to target the heat sinks to try to get it to over heat however before I could realize it, I was at 50% hull strength, and before I could escape I was destroyed. Unable to take a loan out or declare bankruptcy, I had to start over in a sidewinder. I need help finding jobs with bounty hunting and *maybe* trading. At the moment I am in a system with pristine ringed planets in the bubble, however just about everyone I come across are lawless and have no bounty on them. If you could, name any system with major reserves of metallic rings that has high intensity resource extraction site in them. Thank you for helping out.

try this: http://edtools.ddns.net/index.php

amazing tool of the Carmack Intergalactic Mining Association. has also notes on res in system. check galmap, whether system is anarchy (then "everyone is lawless"), or not (then you'll meet wanted ships :) )

fly safe, and don't rush it too much!

It is interesting the number of new commanders that do not save for insurance or take advice. I offered to help out a new player and made suggestions such as, when we were winged in combat I suggested that as he was at 13%, that he go back and repair. I said also that we would wait for him. He chose not to and of course was destroyed soon after.

I also suggested he work on some simple missions and get some rank with the local factions, but no he had stars in his eyes and went off for bigger game. I hope he does well however history suggested that he would continue to run into trouble.

Based on what OP said. I don't think he was. But he clearly didn't bother ensuring he had the rebuy for his ship, which is a bit silly.
Based on what the OP wrote he/she clearly hasn't been playing long. Who thinks they can start again in a Sidey trading and bounty hunting?.....

You can bounty hunt in a Sidey. Just go to a High RES and finish off anybody the space rozzers start on.

OP wasn't complaining, and asking for clear advice. maybe he had fun flying risky? i suggest you try it, put all your money in shps and fly something expensive, where you can't afford insurance. it is a great experience!

actually bounty hunting in high res is more or less the best moneymaker early game, if you already know how to do combat. when i started a fresh account back in autumn, equipping my sidey with a KWS and going to a high res, kill stealing from system security, brought me into a maxed eagle. one run in that eagle into a viper. two runs in that viper into a DBS... and then it took a while to a vulture.

Stealing kills the best way to make money? And some complain about Robigo! lol

thing is, without trade rank and reputaion, and without a ship with a decent jumprange, robigo isn't that well paying ;-) when i was starting a fresh account back in autumn, when i could afford a cobra, i went to takurua/robigo/sothi/ceos first time with that account -

To all of you who were wondering, no, I was not in a sidewinder. I was flying an ASP explorer with most of it's internal components fitted with Hull Re enforcement modules, the reason I didn't have the money to re buy it was because I had just bought the ASP a few days ago, and was having bad luck with the bounties I was getting, so I decided to try a combat zone or two because I usually get a million credits an hour with those. I wasn't expecting the Federation to be involved. I've actually been playing for a few months now, I made mistakes, and got put down back to the beginning, now I'm playing it safe in the starter system, LHS 3447, hunting in the rings of B2, so far not the best, but it's gotten me over 100k credits.

+1 Rep for doing it the hard way. Getting back on the horse is always the worst part :)

I would suggest a different class of ship than the Asp purely for combat though...really not it's forte although it's a decent ship in other roles. A Cobra or Viper would suit better, plus the rebuy won't cripple you as much early on..

Yeah, learned that the hard way. Honestly though, I'm going to try to get an andaconda, but I'm going to get maybe 900mil before I even try to get that, maybe learn some trading skills along the way,
do some exploration, really just expand my boundries. So far though, I've had no luck with hunting in solo play...friggen I've had to chicken out three times already. Like I said, playing it safe. Also, didn't really have a choice, the game wouldn't let me take out a loan, either that or the loan was too big to pay off the ship and everything I put on it.

The Anaconda is a good ship, but like some of the others, you have to know it's limitations. I use mine in Hazres quite a lot, but it's slow and a very expensive build..Believe me, it hurts forking out 24 mil for a rebuy when you get bounced by a ghost wing of 5 FGS/FAS combo. Even when you have a few bob in the bank :)
I tend to use the FDL for CZ's especially... it does what it sez on the tin.

Once you go through the motions, make a bit of cash... then buy a Vulture for the Res and CZ's...then buy a Python and do some bulletin boards and trading. It all works towards that Anaconda in the end.

The Corvette and Cutter are always there if you do the rank thing. I sold both of them after making some serious money in the Cutter, I went back to the Anaconda since I really don't need the cash from trading. I had the FDL for the res sites so the Corvette was a bit useless too.

I started a new account under my wife's GT... just to see how hard it was to start again. To be honest, it gave me a false perspective since I already knew all the tips and tricks to earn money quickly, rank up quickly, evade interdictions, fight effectively using FA off, when and how to run away effectively when needed...
I also knew what ships to do what in and what commodities to trade to make money.

It was fun all the same and the BB missions for tens of thousands that I would normally ignore at my current rank all of a sudden seemed a lot of money. Unfortunately, I can't go back to not knowing all that stuff... like when when the game was fresh, everyone was the same rank and we were all crashing into stations and getting blown up every 5 minutes...
