Vive: Awesome ED VR background screen

If you have a Vive you can replace the environment screen with an awesome ED visual. (The screen that appears while waiting for a game to load)

Load up SteamVR on the desktop
Select Workshop from the menu
Select browse
Change the filter to background
Select the + next to the ED background

Put on your headset
Select settings
Select environment and the image you added above

You should now be standing in a station looking up at an ASP.

You can probably do the steps directly in the Vive but I found it easier to find via the desktop, the navigation was easier

You can choose it as the OP described or through the system menu of the Vive itself.

Other neat add-ons include HAL base stations and Half Life themed controllers. Quite funky really.

Beta 5 looks amazing for me at last. No more text aliasing, and the ingame aliasing seems less pronounced too.

There are a couple of ED background. The outpost landing pad is pretty good too.
