Got to break up camp and head back to the bubble asap I'm about 8.5k ly out and I don't want to jump and honk only.

Horizons, planetary landings in Elite, sniff I never dreamt of this ever when I first played Elite back in the "80s, way to go FD!!!!!!

So 3rd of June :) I picked the right week to start back playing,
shame no pre order :( not that im keen to give money away early but I did hope for some day one extras, ships .. dunno, anything.

Hmmmm. My wife gets induced on the nigh of June 1st, so the baby will be June 2nd. I guess no horizons for me for a while :(. Gladly make the sacrifice LOL.

I'm so excited about this on multiple levels. Horizons ands planetary landing along with engineers.... THEN the fact that now this will be out in the wild, future stuff will start trickling out. Take my $$$$$!!

Heh, congratulations and commiserations? Hope everything goes well with the birth, though - I'll keep you in mind when I land somewhere in the Sol system. Wait, no I won't as I'll be having too much fun... ;-)

I don't have any kids but have friends who do, and damn, Elite and Horizons is precisely the kind of game that really doesn't suit being a parent. Life > gaming, but still. ;-)

I stand to be corrected, but I believe they're saving it for something special later - a ship building yard, or rally point? So no moon landings. There are plenty of satellites to land on, plus stuff like Charon. I think Mercury's the only planet you can make landfall on.
