Totes confused

Accepted a mission of delivering 10t of scrap to Gilgamesh, hazardous goods apparently. The mission states someone will be in touch with the delivery details etc etc. Anyhoo, i'm SCing about the Gilgamesh system waiting for the word and scanning ships to pass the time and I scan a pilot from a company called Gilgamesh Ltd and it states he's Mission Specific. I wait and nothing happens and being impatient(and confused) I interdict (get a 300cr fine for doing so, not sure why) and he then attacks me. I defend myself naturally and destroy him. The mission doesn't state failed and i'm back to SCing. Any thoughts?

The instructions are so vague half the time too and you end up trawling the internet(or posting on forums)

I am totes confused about 3/4s of the missions now days....sad since I just don't bother. Too vague, don't work or require really obnoxious (and without adequate explanation) timing issues.

There's not actually a time limit on this one so i may as well just keep it on the books until the update :)

My only issue has been when I thought I'd already screwed a mission because I'm on GMT and ED (at least in the UK/western Europe) is UTC, which takes no account of BST. Took me a while to figure out this was the problem and I still had a hour that I had thought lost.
So to my antipodean and former-colonial I have a question: Are the missions tied to your timezone? Gary? Anyone? Oh, and pre-emptive apologies if this has been raised before and I've missed it.

No, the in game clock doesn't account for daily savings time. Sigh. It's just one more way that the game confuses complexity with complication, and depth with obfuscation.
Still looking forward to Horizons though.
