Bounty handouts

How is the bounty shared when your opponent has been gunned down and two other npc's/players were involved, does the person who delivered the kill-shot get the bounty or is it split three ways?

If you're in a wing it's divided between how many of you there are equally, if your shooting the same target as another player but not winged as far as I can tell kill shot gets the bounty regardless, NPCs have no effect on bounty if your hunting solo

Kill shot gets it, you're correct.

strange though lots of times ive gotten the kill shot on npcs and i dont get any bounty funds for it.
