will ED on the one be ready for VR in time?

with VR hitting the Xboxone on halloween this year is frontier going to have the support for in game ready in time?

I mean, I've seen stuff mentioned. But it's all rumours. Nothing concrete at all - and most of the ones I've seen say release would be next year anyway.

Not to be that guy, but a link would be nice.

cant link an local store manager. but they our already taking pre orders at my local gaming store and there not the hololens

just an link with an little info on X1 Vr
http://www.techradar.com/news/gamin...-s-already-in-the-hands-of-developers-1277879

iv been able to find info back in 2014 about Dev kits for x1 vr being given to game Dev so that should have been an good amount of time to make an few VR games or support for FD. but Microsoft is good about NDA, an they did keep project for hololens secret for 10 years

Ah, yes, this article. Now i remember.

Besides this, there wasn't any other info back then. So back then, this article was marked as "Not true"

And now, with a new rumored more powerful Xbox one, I truly think this current console won't get a VR for sure.

Even when (or if) hardware upgrades arrive for XB1, all features must be available for un-upgraded base consoles. Microsoft's own terms rule out VR for current gen

It seems more a rumour then anything, especially since the picture shown in the article is a gear vr headset...

So yeah...honestly do not think it can arrive without a massive upgrade to machine, similar to playstation 4 neo.

Given that far as your triple-A titles go both xbone and ps4 have needles in the red just trying to produce a single image at full frame / res, producing the two images needed for stereoscopic vr sounds pretty unlikely. Presumably (hopefully) the next gen will be up to the task.

I can't even use VR, LOL.

Blind in one eye & glasses are required for me when I look at any screen.

Last I heard, VR headsets & glasses don't mix.

Maybe something will be said at E3? I doubt this to be true so I'm wondering where all the pre-orders money are going that you stated customers have spent money on?

Isnt the Oculus rift compatible with xbox one already?

Common misconception.

The link between the Rift & the Xbox One is that the Rift simply comes with an Xbox One Controller.

Reason being is that the Xbox Controller is the #1 gamepad for PC. I have a 360 pad myself, which I will use in Elite when we get space legs.

You can stream to your PC and use VR to get a "movie theatre" type experience, but it's not actual gameplay-integrated VR(unless this was scraped).
Nope because the xbox one does not output the correct video for VR. And if this was possible that would mean your PC is capable of VR which raises the question, why not just play ED on your PC?
