Neits robbed me

There's always been issues with CG's and finding out about them in game.....it's not even that long ago that we got the button added onto the in game Galnet article that at least opens the correct system....

Hopefully a lot of this might be improved in 1.6/2.x as at the very least there is a Galaxy map marker for CG's (though I'm not clear on whether the marker is also at the system map level - if not, it wouldn't actually help in this case).

TBH who cares anyway, this CG wont even make tier one so no rewards for anybody regardless...

This CG is a bit of a waste really when you can be farming a Haz RES

They already adjusted the tiers to make up for the problems at the start! Feds are on Tier 5, Imps on Tier 3!

How about that mining cg before that didn't mention at any point in galnet that it was a mining cg.. We need platinum! Deliver platinum to this station! it said. *Deliver* being the operative word. Several hours wandering the bubble finding enough platinum to fill my hold, drove it all the way out there, they turned around and said oh, we don't want your stinky market-bought platinum, only rawly mined platinum is good enough for us. Wasn't a happy day [knocked out]

This is a fun, though very poorly thought out CG in general. First, CZ's weren't spawning so they had to fix that and add 24 hours to the CG. Then there's the fact that the stations are a fair distance from the sun. Then there's the fact that between the two stations there's like, 5-7 landing pads total. TOTAL. There's only 3 at Still Hangar, 2 smalls and one medium, and I'm assuming the standard amount at the other outpost. Then it doesn't mention that there are two separate missions, so it took me a while to figure that out (I didn't sign up to the federal battle for neits, I just assumed it was a fed only CG at first until I came back and flew around and found Still Hangar which is controlled by the enemy fed faction so I again assumed it was a fed only CG until I came back the NEXT day and landed.)

That and it seems like the FDevs were a little optimistic when it came to how many people they thought would participate in the CG as I'm not entirely confident we'll reach Tier 1. I mean we might, but it'l be a stretch.

Reading the IN-Game description impies two seperate CG's simply based off the following two paragraphs (refering to the plural aspect of operations, etc.) It clearly states that there is a Fed side and a Imperial Side.

This testimony comes from the Neits system, which has become the site of intense conflict in the past 24 hours. Authorities in the system have confirmed that a Federal organisation known as Neits Jet Life Ltd has deployed ships throughout the system, and is attacking other vessels at the slightest provocation. Meanwhile, the GR 316 Silver Universal Group, an Imperial organisation, has despatched fighters to counter the Federal offensive.

Both Neits Jet Life Ltd and the GR 316 Silver Universal Group have promised to reward pilots who support their campaigns. The two factions have set out week-long operations to take control of the system, which will begin on the 19th of May 3302.

Also, the new CG system out with 2.1 will let you see all CG's to claim from anywhere. So you would immediately see the competing CG.

I have no issue with FDev placing it in a system with more distant outposts, etc. It adds variety to the game and CG's if everything always occured within 100ls of a star, then why ever have a station or planet further than that?

Either way, feel free to visit the Elite CG Reddit as well. We keep it very current and it's a good reference, even when off-line to monitor the progress. https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteCG/

Also, the participation numbers are actually above average already. FDev had a miscalculation in the Tier targets which was fixed this morning. Fed is at Tier 5 and Imp at Tier 3 IIRC.

Maybe FD can answer this suggestion. How about making bonds for a certain power only be accepted by the intended station and NOT any station in the system. That way you wouldn't run into this problem because you'd most definitely be notified.

As for the response arguing that the game has a feed that implies there to be 2 separate CG's, I'm sorry, but where does it imply this exactly? It implies 2 sides are fighting one another and does NOT, as I've said already, specifically describe the criteria and the stations that are designated for the missions.

I don't get why there's anybody defending this when it simply is NOT clear, hence the time myself and other people have wasted handing in the bounties to Watson (the only station even mentioned in the game for the CG).

The only part that is not clear is the station to turn each in at. It DOES state the the Fed side is Neits Jets and Imperial side is GR 316. It then states that EACH faction will reward pilots how support THEIR campaign. Two seperate factions, each representing a side in the battle, each saying they'll reward a pilot supporting them and not the other is pretty clear this was an opposing style CG. I'm defending that aspect of it as to ME and the way I comprehended the article, it was clear as day two seperate CG's would be involved. I do agree with you that they SHOULD have included which station each sides CG was to be started at.

Sorry. But I'm just not following you here. It describes that the imperial and the feds are clashing, yes, but despite telling you who they side with, as I've said it doesn't tell you anything about their being separate stations handling the bonds as a separate mission and it is my argument that the game should be clear about how this CG operates and which stations you should hand your bonds into.

Watson is the only station quoted in the CG back story description.

That's the bottom line and it has cost people their long efforts finding out the hard way...

Now let's go eat some apple juice.
