New player trying to understand some in game humor?

I've had the game for about a week now and am really enjoying it. Great gameplay and community. I had winged up with a random and we moved to a Haz Res zone to do some bounty work. He unexpectedly went Unknown as we cleaned up a wing so I jumped back to port. On the way to port I received this communication from another player. Image: http://i.imgur.com/NhwH1eV.jpg Transcript:
CMDR: Pull over.
CMDR: Or be interdicted
TO CMDR: Nah im good.
CMDR: ur now f-tagged to the frontier for combat logging
TO CMDR: How so?
CMDR: Bye

Now in the short time I've looked around on the forums I've heard combat logging is something akin to pulling the plug and can get you banned so it seemed like a pretty serious accusation. I recorded to DVR what I had been doing and am just trying to make sense of if I have anything I should be worried about? I messaged him over live and he said he was just joking but I seriously don't get it. I'm not trying to name and shame but have I not been playing long enough or did I just run into an undesirable? I've tried searching up on what f-tagged means and couldn't find anything either.

I don't get it either.

I'll assume he's just joking or whatever as I doubt he can do much especialy when you didn't even disconnect there.

Dont worrie. you did nothing wrong.

Even if this player will report you, he has no legit reason and it might even backfire to him..

Sounds like a desperate pirate to me. They can't interdict so went the verbal route instead.

Doesn't sound like a pirate. Why would a pirate be interdicting bounty hunters? Apart from the obvious reasons but then he ain't pirating.

LOL. You are still on-line as shown by the conversation.

By definition, combat logging means stopping the game session, so you cannot be in-game any more if you 'combat log'!

The person messaging you really needs to get a better understanding of the game

Lol very true, maybe a very new starting out pirate? That doesn't know what they are doing. If he was in anything under say a viper or less they have got to be just starting out. They know about the hated combat logging but why not just interdict then the conversation. Too me it screams im new and don't know what im doing.

The nah im good part was priceless.

Yea idk. Don't think he's a pirate though, more likely imo it's just a player messin' about or some salty

Sounds like someone trying to pirate without an interdictor

. Trying to get people to drop with threats. If you have been reported to FD they will look at the log and see you didn't disconnect, so no need to worry about it.

BTW what is f-tagged? Is that an XBox thing?

I think he means Frontier Tagged with it... And if he does mean that, i have no idea what that is either.. lol

Thanks for the replies and trying to clarify. Just going to chalk this up to really poor trolling on his part. Hopefully if I run into any other pirates they're this spaced out.

I've had something similar to this, usually it's a player/CMDR who's outfitted their ship for heavy PvP or fighting against real players. They just want something to shoot at and if you decline to them they call you out or try to scare you.

Sounds like the latter to me and you clearly did nothing wrong so you shouldn't worry. Here's to you coming across nice players
