Make open chat a thing

I don't think I've seen anything like this but is talking into local a thing, and I just don't know how to do it? They need to make this a thing.

Click open comms to local: Say "HEY YOU DUMB SHIP. DROP EVERYTHING BUT YOUR PANTS. GIVE ME YOUR MONIES AND PAINITE OR EAT MULTICANONS!"

Would be a lot easier than typing it out. Esp since xbox is made for voice chatting. Just a thought, I'm sure it's been brought up before.

That and by the time you've finished typing the other ship has buggered off into high wake lol. I've tried using smart glass to type but it still isn't fast enough (either that or its me lol)

Use a USB keyboard. You don't have to activate the chat box either, just X+dpad up to highlight comms and start typing

I tried that with an old WoW keyboard, the keyboard and the xbox started over heating so I stopped fearing I would damage the X1

I use a keyboard, and a keyboard shouldn't be causing your Xbox to overheat lol

Yeah, but still. Immersion breaking is immersion breaking. I suspect most people would just block local voice comms and you'd be back to square one anyways.
