New update and Horizons

Hi all,

I've been lurking these forums for some time now. I've taken a new interest in the game as of late and I'm totally hooked on it just now on Xbox.
I also own it on PC but due to my ... rather unimpressive PC I've not been playing it that much and lost interest after a while.

Hope you can help me out here. I've been playing a lot on Xbox as of late with a buddy of mine. Having a jolly good time!
Seeing that 1.6 and Horizons are coming out for Xbox one so soon is fantastic and I'm really looking forward to it.

What I'd like to know though is what the changelog is for 1.6 and Horizons compared to what we have now?
I understand it'll be substantial but I can't really find a decent full list anywhere (been trying to search for it in other parts of the forum too).

Could one of you folks kindly point me in the right direction? I'm basically looking for a good synopsis of all changes that the new patch and update will bring.

Hi Cmdr I also started on Pc but switched to Xbox one for same reason as you, crappy PC, Also looking forward to Horizons and Engineers, will try and point you in right direction for info, I'll take you through as if you are newbee ok.

Go to Frontier or Elite Dangerous website, click on Elite Dangerous, then click on Menu then Community, then click on join the forums, when loaded click Forums again (top left) then click on patch notes (make sure it's Xbox version, although PC version should be practically the same), you will get full patch notes there, please note new Engineers patch notes not displayed yet (10.00am UK) these will be uploaded later sometime this afternoon or evening. If you need any other info on Horizons or Engineers click on newsletters (latest is issue 125) if you look at these or check Elite Dangerous on youtube (look for live streams) on Horizons and Engineers, hope this helps.

You probably already know how to navigate Forums anyway, Please reply if you need any more help. Newsletters and YouTube can explain all the changes much better than me. Good luck.

Can anyone clarify this please: "Missions are now rated by rank, not gated by them"

Where do I purchase said content?. I've looked on the store this morning and nothing is there, even the deluxe edition is no onger showing in store. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What I'm going to assume this means is that missions are no longer rank locked, however the reward will increase the higher rank you are. So, for a trade mission for instance, someone who is a Peddler rank would get a much lower payout than someone who is Elite.

And if I'm right I think this is a fantastic change. It's very annoying seeing a bucket load of missions I can't do just because I've not quite made Elite ranking yet. This in theory also makes it easier for lower ranked players to get missions as well.
