This is what is causing you to boost, deploy hardpoints, etc, while attempting to raise your gear and such. Under miscellaneous switch "enable context menu" to on to return controls to normal.

Sorry, I'm feeling a little smug that I never changed my controls to some fancy setup. Been rocking the default controls since I started playing last year. Are there better ways? Probably, but at least right now I'm not smashing my ship into things, am I?

Actually, I run defaults as far as I can remember, but my context menus were still shut off. May have something to do with I've been playing since day 1 on Xbox.

I just selected classic and then default again, the problems were gone after that.

can some one please help me! im out by Barnards loop in a system known as HD 35177 and I cant jump to a new system at all. It says i need a permit for all the other star systems near my jump range and im just stuck and i don't want to lose all my exploration data so I dont want to self destruct and plus i dont have enough to pay for the insurance on the ship.

I saw a line in the patch notes about explorers in your situation.
It sounds like you are unfortunately, due to a bug, in a permit area of space.
In the patch notes FD have said you can be moved by them, on a "case by case basis".
I suspect this means you have to submit a ticket to the support team, maybe label it as "unable to play the game" for a faster response.
Though I suspect you may not expect a response within a 72 hour time frame at the moment.

Just looked and you're right, all those systems require a permit. Your best bet is to contact support and have them front you the cost on buy back (they likely cant do anything about the data) and then have you self destruct..
EDIT: Nevermind, as the person above said it seems they can teleport you.

Hi guys, I also had to switched context menus from off to on, but even after that my B button doesnt work in context well. See, if I hold the B, I will get the context menu on screen, but immediately when I press B, my ship boosted. Strange is, that other buttons (A, X, Y) works just fine.
And second similar problem - I remap shooting to LB and RB. When I hold any of the context button (A, B, Y, X) + LB or RB, when I have hardpoints out, I shooting when I want do the context shorcut.
Anybody pls can try if it is only me or is it a bug?

Ok so when I was trying to fix this and were messing with custom controls trying to remap some buttons, somehow ALL of my custom control was deleted and I had to remap EVERYTHING from scratch. That helped with all my problems in my original post. BUT more serious problem just occured - now I cant navigate ANY of my left and right panels - dpad and LB and RB just doesnt work, instead they adjusting pips and shooting.
Thats crazy how bugged custom control is
EDIT: Finaly get it right. If you want to reset your custom controls, just switch to standart / default and start remaping as you wish. This will immidiately reset your old (in my case bugged) custom. But yeah, IMO this is bugged and hope that from now on it will work just fine for me (and everyone else who has trouble).

Many people had to change their controls because at the earliest GPP days the default setup was somehow glitched and we had to set it to something else. I don't remember correctly now as it was a year ago. My controls are basically the default preset but I have something set to custom because of that. Really no one could anticipate this and it took many of us by surprise. Will have to look at it when Horizons launches, just in case.
