Can some of you guys from Beta give a hint / tell us where the engineers are?

No need. Once you've unlocked an Engineer, they'll appear as a marker on your GM.
Go to the Engineers window (System Panel > Status > "Engineers" (at bottom)) and select an Engineer.
Look at the requirements to unlock.
Once you unlock an Engineer, you'll receive a mailbox message with an invitation.
Opening your GM at this point will show you the location of the Engineer with a purple marker.

I received two invites. I looked at the map to see the markers the engineers said would be there. There are no markers.
I went into the engineers tab and there is nothing listed.
What am I doing wrong?
Just looked again in the tab and they have appeared.

I'm not sure. Someone on another thread ( https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=254180 ) also had a similar issue but eventually the Engineers lists was populated.

Right here my friend. You need invites to find them though.

Just zoom out on the GM, look for the purple markers and add bookmarks.
