For those of you experimenting with the UAs: Do the unknown fragments get stored like cargo in your hold, or in the commander's material inventory? Do they cause any damage to ship modules?

Alright, I'm no code expert, but I think I managed to get the morse from Dommarra's video.

The whale noise kinda covers up the very beginning of the morse chitters, so I'm not too sure on those. Please do double check of my work, but there's just a little bit if anyone that knows what they're doing wants to check to see if it's still a scan of the ship or maybe something new!

Edit: sorry didn't get a count on those last purrs before it dies, I as aggressively summoned from my computer!

I'm tempted to trade meta-alloys for UA's now.
I only have about 140...

With meta-alloys much harder to find, I'm surprised that being caught carrying a UA doesn't have a more... lethal response.

It's the usual Asp sequences, nothing less, nothing more.
I gave a fast hear to Zenith video as well, and it seems to me that the UA is spelling the system name before it scans the ship, then it spells the usual sequences. But I will check it later via software as I usually do.

Ok I found a barnacle that is not default destroyed but as others indicated before it drops indite instead of meta alloys.

So the some destroyed barnacles seem to be intended but the bug seems to be the indite part. Looks to me like some beta change to prevent people discovering the new stuff around the barnacles and it was gorgotten to switch it back

They are Materials so do not take cargo space. They are non-toxic.

Might be RNG, but the 3 UA I shot only dropped 1 UF each, the one that expired dropped 2. When I rammed some UA in beta (I had no lasers) I also got 2.

Sorry if i missed this, it has been a while since my last visit to obsidian orbital, but did the black market got shut down? i thought the station got repaired some time ago?

Black market is closed due to the power play faction in control of Maia.

That seems to be the initial contribution, but what does she want for the higher grades? More MAs or other supplies? And I think the livestream said if you don't like the engineer's (RNG) formula you have to repeat it & provide the fee each time so it could cost several MAs to get the best upgrade.

I take it you had these prior to 2.1? You might want to save one to give to Felicity Farseer, or at least go and see her before selling them.

I think she only has up to level 2 or 3 enhancements anyway, and I think the actual materials required were shown in the earlier beta prior to everything being changed to fish... meta alloys were not amongst them if I remember correctly.

Felicity just wants meta-alloys, does she? sadly, i just got UAs, no luck with meta alloys yet..

no, the new maximum is 600 now.

Main observation is that the morse chittering is silent if you have sensors off or don't have the UA locked on. If you have the UA locked on, you will hear the morse chittering.

FYI, I just repeated your test (deactivating sensors), couldn't replicate the lack of morse. Some kinda bug maybe?

anyway, if any one else got that stupid idea leaving obsidian with a non combat ship and an UA on board.. don't do it.. i barely survived the first 2 interdictions, then the third one teared me apart in seconds.. it's getting hot out there, which is awesome!

Greetings, due to real life conditions I wasn't able to follow this thread for a while. Is someone kind of enough to tell me what I missed? I read something about Unknown Fragments? What are those and how does one obtain them? Meta-Alloys and UA's are impossible to get since the latest update? I have read the first post but it doesn't answer the question I have mentioned above.
