Horizons Do mission reward commodities needed for mods require cargo space?

I haven't got to that stage yet, but looking at some of the mod blueprints several contain multiple mission reward commodities to make. If you are going to rng roll more than once it starts to add up. Note I'm talking about the commodities that are mission rewards that are needed for mods, not the other materials/data that are needed. Are they like the other mats, i.e. don't take up conventional cargo space?

Also note that the cargo rewards are - so far as I've seen so far - all for cargo which can be bought on the market, somewhere. The use of getting it as a mission reward is that it lets you sell it to a market, and therefore read the description which includes the region of space and economy it comes from - don't worry about keeping the ones you get from missions just in case.

I'd check on the info for items you don't know - I have had a couple that said "Whilst they can be sold .... these are most often used by engineers..."

Not as far as the descriptions say it. Most can be bought somewhere, but some list no source. Like the 4 Cooling Hoses I'm now carrying around...

I personally find that, given we can't store them off at an engineers base for example, cargo space using materials are a horrible design choice. But I guess it's meant to further hinder us as in that we can't really keep them around "in case" and have to pray RNGesus helps us getting them when we need them.
That or they somehow forgot to add hints as to where you could buy them, but I put my bet on extending the grind further.
