I went with other. I would need a lot more time testing to know if it is too hard, too easy or just right. I went to a hi-res in my Courier which has a low rebuy for me so I wasn't worried about getting destroyed. Probably would have been sweating if I was in there with a high rebuy. I am expert ranked for combat and was mostly up against dangerous eagles and asps and with all the security around didn't feel like I was in too much danger.

Took on a wing of two and ran away at the end. Forgot what some of the keys were like fa-off and retract weapons but still got away with some shields left. Sounded like one ship had rails but no uber weapons that left me unable to escape.

I would have to test many ships in different situations against many different AI. If they were as bad as some I have heard about then I think they might be too hard and it could get very expensive. Also very close to ranking up which I don't want to do if it does turn out that the AI is really difficult or has a loadout I can only dream of at the moment.

They closed 6 positive feedback threads for every 1 premature complaint thread. And btw, the posivity threads were all beta testers who know how this story ends. The complaints are all from people who haven't experienced engineer upgrades. Or how devastating they can be to NPCs.

In short, the AI needed this buff to still count as a "slight upgrade" over 2.0 NPCs once we all have semi-modded ships. ;)

Modded ships. Sure. So our entire enjoyment is now at the whimsy of RNG and an endless cycle of fetch quests and long range travel. Some of those fetch quests will involve combat, which is part of the problem in the first place.

Congratulations, you've just turned Elite: Dangerous into Classic World of Warcraft. Only with a substantially more extreme penalty for death.

Don't forget this...

I wonder how long the "Too Hard" crowd would last if they were characters in a GRRM novel?

^_^ Hello everyone, sorry for the translator take. Care of your eyes!)))

I want to say that the AI has become very good. It is interesting, it is surprising, fights with him (even if you police squad) are transformed into real action, and it's cool!

Not all AI is - a simple AI easier, complex AI harder. The goal of development is reached - now I'm in her the FAS can not feel 100% confident, and it is intriguing ... :)

I want to say that I - the researcher - I'm not a fighter. I'm not very strong and does not ttraderds, hunter pirates - mainly fought in areas of extraction of ore. And (attention!) I was not afraid of these changes. On the contrary - the space has become more lively and active. Although I think in general terms it does not become more dangerous than it was - rather our fear it inspires us :)

I've never (!) Is not used Robigo, cheat or other opportunities to make money in the game, and the last expedition to Anaconda threatened me bankrupt in the event of failure. You should be ashamed - "pilots Robigo" for your behavior and lack of respect for themselves and for their internal forces.

And yet - I'm a fan of Star Trek, TNG is reviewing :) So - on the background of these guys look at you funny and disgusting. Where's the excitement? Where thirst for victory over the enemy? Where fights to be proud of? No - you Give a freebie, so you can quickly equip their fat received worthless hard ships and feel in imaginary security. Then this supplement to you - in awe of the cosmos horrors ^ _ ^

Of course I mind if AI is improved, making it a cheater. Developers not be good if we know about it :) Of course it is necessary to make the game more lively and interesting, richer in that that was - then it will be a real space and real Elite. Good luck to the pilots of the universe! LLAP!

over the last couple of weeks was beginning to enjoy the game finally , but
after the update .. hmmm

was never like this in 1984 , has braben forgotten his roots

You can survive and thrive quite well with just an A rated eagle with enhanced thrusters and no mods. So you can have fun right now if you take the time to appreciate the stain glass window that SJA just created for us.

Or you can smash it with a rock because it was blocking your view of a drab empty sky.

I fly a Clipper, an FDL, and a Vulture. Why should I go to flying an Eagle?

Just feels like downgrading and all the time and work I invested in the game was for nothing. I'm not restarting from a fresh save. Ever.

However, not everyone has access to the mods. It feels... unfair to people who can't, or don't want to, adopt horizons for whatever reason. They are players too, and they contribute to the player base as well, their word of mouth is as important as anyone else.

I think his point was, even in a small ship, you can make it work with a minimum of investment.

While I'm not surprised, just burying it in a subforum is basically akin to admitting there is a problem, but admitting it is bad press.

Fairly standard ploy with games companies after a poorly recieved patch, bury everyones head in the same sand bucket.

It sucks. It doesn't suck. It does. No, it doesn't. This thread will go on forever it seems and set a new record, busting those of the "Solo-vs-Group-vs-Open"-threads.

Meanwhile I found out that "COMBAT TRAINING: INCURSION" spares me a lot of creds while becoming better and better every round. Same ship, same enemies, one after another getting tougher and tougher until they start to form up. My first round was pretty embarrassing but I stuck to it, did the good old "Eye of the Tiger" thing, got beat up one after another time. But then something very strange happened - I was as surprised as the other pilots were before they exploded.

I'll do a few rounds more until I feel prepared to kick the butt of that $%#&! Utopian very, very hard. I've got some unfinished business with him.

I recommend it to everyone, who feels ganked by the new AI and who's not averse of fighting. Hey, you can blast them for free, again and again - it helps with the frustration too. Tough I do know that might doesn't help pure traders and miners and so on, I guess that's something FD needs to look into and I firmly believe, they will.

I actually had a similar idea, using the cobra face off, since the AI in that module has always been quite digressive.
