I think you already have rank 4 or 3 upgrade. So it all makes sense.
Magnetic Emitter Coil: This one isn't very well documented at Leesti (George Lucas station), No data where they got it from. I found a large batch of 172,652 (at the time of writing) at Virts Dock in the Chemaluk system (I only need 1 lol)
Strange Wake solutions: Just find a starport and scan the High Energy wakes, this is a simple one
Just giving a few hints on getting the materials
Chemical Manipulators: Kill transporters near nav beacon(s) (mine dropped from Type 7 Transporters), if you are in an anarchy with a nav beacon, great. Otherwise, a low sec system with nav beacon works too, but don't hit any others or you'll get a bounty on your head
Depending on your luck this can be almost as bad as polonium it seemskind regards, been scanning the whole afternoon!
I found at least two of those quite easily while doing missions. They seem to be relatively common as mission rewards.
me too. the trick is to go too leesti, buy trade data from all industial/refinery systms close by, and show trade routes for that specific commodity. should work with all of that kind of engineer commodities..
got to level 5 access with fraseer by selling around 10 mio of exploration data.
Looks like I'll leave the bubble for that data and off course, fun!
if you are an explorer, i think this might be the very best way to gain access to engineers and access levels you want. i'm very happy, that both engineers giving FSD upgrades accepting exploration data for gaining reputation with them. missing professor palin yet, though
I was playing 24 sessions on my current trip, working on my spreadsheet to locate and visit all known hypergiants from our galaxy in the game (got 5 down! only a bit more than 100 hundred to go!) - after cashing in i have level 5 access with fraseer, level 3 access with martuk, and being friendly with all minor factions which are giving out invitation for 3 other engineers.
so, i'm ready to play some missions now, without in constant danger of loosing my data.
So, once you have the initial buy-in like meta-alloys for Farseer, then they accept exploration data - and if you provide enough, then you'll be immediately ranked-up enough to apply for the best upgrade?
Just started the process with the 'other' engineer (don't know her name), but will probably deliver alloys to Farseer as well.
I just bought my explora FDL with a huge gimballed beam laser. (which I haven't used yet) and the ship is massive fun despite being inferior in almost all parameters versus my Keelback, which isn't a top tier exploration ship either.
It takes ages just to get around in the bubble... so I hope I'll be able to upgrade it to 18-20 ly with a configuration that is combat/escape ready (proper weapon and a-rated thrusters to get away if necessary).
Off topic: I tried to add a controller for those dog fights I'm so weak at, but the roll axis is inverted and I haven't found any way to change it. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it?
I read somewhere jumponium only affects the base jump range
e.g. 35 LY Asp, engineered to 50 LY. Prem jumponium is 35X2+15=85LY (not 100 LY)
Can someone confirm which way round it is ?
Yep, it still works that way. I'm in an Anaconda with a T4 mod, +25% optimised mass and a 46.58 ly jump range, and the maximum I could do with a T3 boost is 93.54 ly.Wow I'm late here. Can't confirm but in beta it affected total range including engineered. I made a 100Ly jump with the Anaconda back then so I'd put my money on that 120Ly+ jumps are possible.
I can confirm this, jump boost works off total modified fsd. So with patience you should get up to 120ly on a max boost. When I get there I will be heading out for more extreme locations!Yep, it still works that way. I'm in an Anaconda with a T4 mod, +25% optimised mass and a 46.58 ly jump range, and the maximum I could do with a T3 boost is 93.54 ly.
fsd options were the sameAre the FSD upgrades the same from both of the explorer based engineers?
I've only unlocked the one who asks for meta alloys.
