Yes I am aware it is in boom, that doesn't automatically qualify it to spout out high paid issions. Just like flying to anarchy doesn't always guarantee high paying smuggling. There is always a chance that you may have to wait for a refresh or head to another similar station/system.
Look mate, I'm trying to help, but you honestly come across as clueless in most of your posts. You seem constantly frustrated and angry, I'm seeing a pattern here, you never seem to stop and think.

From what I seeing there is a big chance mission rewards are completely useless even though the system state you are in. So your theory of going to boom systems to find good cargo missions is wrong. Unless the RNG gods have enlighten you and you get a good roll of the bulletin board. Did I said this is horrible game design already?

I stopped in Obsidian Orbital the other day, looking for meta-alloys, the first time I've ever been there, so I have no rep with the local faction. Had a look at the bulletin board for the hell of it & saw several (7-10) missions, all in the Cr2mil+ range.
I'm busy doing missions out of HIP 72043 to gain rep with the faction there. I've done about 10 so far, made it to cordial, and I'm already seeing missions pop for 1mil+.
It's not "one good mission in 70000 stations" by any stretch of the imagination. There are *plenty* of them, if you open your eyes, use the GalMap filters properly, build the rep, and meet the mission requirements.
Of course long range mission still pay good, they were the only missions to pay good in 2.0, even too good. That doesnt prove anything, we are talking about mission rewards across the galaxy not only of the systems far away from the bubble......

The missions I'm doing out of HIP 72043 are hardly "long range", I think the furthest has been around 90LY, which is 3-4 jumps in an Asp with a good FSD. Some are the system next door, most seem to be around 40--70LY. Stack a few of them, & you're looking at Cr1-2mil for 30min work, and the money only gets better the more you do them.
If that is the case and you can predict by the system state and economy how to find those missions it is really good. Still have to see it.
I encounter multi million missions on a regular bases.
Perhaps the game hates your never ending negativity and reacts accordingly.
You can only disprove my theory by finding a few multi million missions, or by being more positive
