I for one am glad you didn't call it the Crack of Fear.
Not a redditer but hope it goes well todayshall read with interest!
LOL - yea, that doesn't quite have the same effect

Dude ... Have a Snickers or something. We may not like not having the Tionisla Orbital Graveyard in the game, but there are plenty of good reasons why it's not there - yet. For one thing, Frontier had to work on the whole game. Something as big as the T.O.G. (even if it's technically canon by virtue of being mentioned in Reclamation) would likely require a custom set of code just to make. It's a lot bigger than Voyager, and the flak they would catch for "getting it wrong" would be far more than for just not putting it in until they can get it right on the first try.
You know her name. I know her name. Just about everyone who read the Oolite novellas knows her name. Drew had his reasons for not naming her, just like how the old woman never names who it is she lost. She's in Reclamation to drive part of the plot and reveal the existence of a mystery, and as a nod to the Oolite fandom. She is not there to make the Oolite universe canon. So call her Rebecca Weston/Tyley if you want, but officially she's just a crazy old woman with conspiracy theories dancing in her head.
Oh, and she would probably hate being called "Old Woman" for the same reason I would hate being called "Old Man." Because nobody likes being old, or having that fact pointed out to them. So yeah, have a snack or something. There's nothing sexist about the matter other than what we choose to project into it.
Summary of some of the relevant points for the Rift mystery from Drew's AMA so far (full link here)
So is it really worth the time chasing around the bubble to satisfy the engineers for mods or just ignore them and head back to the Rift?

It's all tongue in cheek,,,
however with this,,
"There's nothing [...] about the matter other that what we ... project into it",,,
You've [possibly accidentally?] deconstructed political correctness...
Please remain calm and stay where you are, some one will be along to assist you shortly.

I do, BTW, love the new animations for Neutrons and BHs:
I plan on sticking to the Bubble for the time being. I went and reset my save file a couple of weeks ago and am currently in a Cobra Mk.III, playing with the new mission contacts until I earn enough to get back into a Diamondback Explorer. Then, when I hit 3 weeks loyal to Li Yong-Rui I'm going to earn myself a pair of Packhound launchers. By that time I'll probably be just about ready to venture out into the Black once again.

It feels weird, I played normally for a good seven months. I keep g out when I log in, looking for my old Python or Asp. I decided to use modified Iron Man rules this time, based on a forum post I'd read months ago. Here is the rule set I'm working on.
I plan on revising the government table once I get a clear picture of how security levels correlate to government type, but it may be simpler to keep it based on ethos and to add a security table for modifiers instead.
that 7 layers thing and kgbfoam is spooking in my head since a couple of days. it must be an important clue. it just has to be...
The mythology of Salome and the Seven Veils is relevant
Spelling is not my forté! I have editors for that.
Cheers,
Drew.
1) Neuman Camp appears to be some sort of observatory of some kind
The appearance of this base struck me as odd.
Whoop whoop! CQC asset in main game usage detected!
(This is one end of the Cluster Compound main structure, IIRC)
AR-9 - Alien Research?
What were the missions leading you there, if I may ask, G-H?
Awesome detective work
That logo, discounting the large star...there's 7 of them. Seven sisters?
Edit: And the telescope...maybe a transmitter/receiver?
So I went to one of the Dark Wheel controlled planetary bases - specifically Neumann Camp - and found some interesting things there...
