Can Someone Help Me With Factions and Reputation

Hi

Since the new 2.1 update my overall Federation reputation has been falling steadily but slowly from 100% Allied to 92% Allied, granted not much but its a steady fall every day. I have been doing some missions but also even though I am allied to the Federation overall, Federation supporting Factions and Neutral to me. Before the update any Federation station was Allied and turned green when I was docking, not they don't.

My ranking has gone from 28% Ensign, to 31% Ensign , basically I think every two missions run has put it up 1% but nothing seems to be lifting my overall Federation reputation.

Is this a bug or is it a change made in the update?

They changed the rep so that local factions only show your rep with them and not with their aligned superpower. Better rep with the superpower will give you better increases in rep with the local factions.

You rep with the superpowers falls quicker the more you have, chances are you are not doing enough to maintain it. But, 92% allied give exactly the same as 100% allied, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I've done between twenty to thirty missions for a faction aligned to the federation since 2.1 dropped but my rep just stays between 75-77%!! Before it would have been up to 100% again by now!!

Yeah - me too, lots of rep++ missions but can't get up past 79% major faction yet all the aligned minor factions are allied.

I wonder if it is a bug?

I would assume it's the "new normal" and working as intended, not a bug. No longer can you be Allied to all three superpowers simultaneously, simply because it's physically impossible to do that many missions. Staying Allied to just one superpower is going to be a hard enough grind.

I usually tried to stay Allied to all three, but I went on a two-week holiday just before 2.1 dropped, so I was at 75% Friendliness in all three powers. Grinding dozens of cargo and data delivery missions in the Cemiess sector (where all the Imperial factions are solid 100% allied to me) and throwing millions of credits in donations at them and at other Imperial factions has seen my rep with the Empire rise to the low 80s. My ranking-up to Baron is moving along pretty quickly, but the superpower rep decay is pretty fast - it seems to drop something like 2% per day.

It helps that there's currently an Outbreak in Vequess; the Imp factions there are churning out dozens of "carry medicine" missions just wanting me to fly back and forth between the two stations in the system.

I'm not looking to be allied to all three right now, just 1 would do. Besides, FD Support are looking into it so its looks like a bug.

I've reported as a bug as well. I was at 96% with Feds and ran probably 20 missions with medium rep and my rep never went up even the blue arrowhead was blue for hours. Next day it dropped to 94%. 2% drop per day was normal prior to 2.1 but I should have easily jacked it to 100% with that many missions. If this is intended behavior then Frontier needs to explain what the new norm is.

I've been doing missions for alliance factions and today got a message telling me I was back to allied with the federation.

This was actually after abandoning a failed/bugged delivery mission for an independent faction that bribed me with an offer of pollonium to do the work.

I've been noticing this too. Started with 100% on both Fed and Empire before 2.1
After a few days of doing missions for multiple minor factions, some Independent some Empire some Federation I was down to 88% Fed, 96% Empire.
At no point on handing in any missions did I see an effect of reputation drop, only alleged gains.

I tried doing nothing for a while. I logged in, sat in a station for a bit looking at the mission board. Undocked flew to the next system and I had the red down arrows against both.
It was about 12 hours since I'd last logged in and I know that reputation atrophy occurs when not playing but I thought that was after weeks not hours.

After realising I couldn't figure it out I gave up and went to do some BH. On handing in about 1.5mil in bounties in Pemoeri (has both Emp and Fed factions) I jumped up to 100% again on both.

Mission Major faction reputation gains seem a bit off to me. Not sure if its a bug or just something that needs a bit of explanation from FD on the new rules.
