Engineers Low Int CZ - Ophiuchi 70 - pytons+ only

So I tried combat zone again. Low Intensity in high security system in the middle of the federation territory. The mission was for the "good" ruling side of the system. Combat rank needed - Competent (the rank I am).
So I jumped in and I saw only system defense ships and no shooting. I was curious to see if all of them are allies and I was lazy to scan each of them manually, so I risked and picked the Ophiuchi Progressive Party and finally got to see my enemies. ALL OF THEM were pythons or anacondas (the same as my allies). I was lucky I got out (took me like 10 seconds to realize I have no chance there). By that time my shields were down and my hull was on 79%.

I ask myself, the community and the developers. WHY for the love of God you put big ships into LOW intensity combat zones??? Why? WHY WHY WHY? Why can't you leave it like it was? Low intensity - small+medium ships, occasional big one; high intensity medium+big ships.

This has nothing to do with better AI. Please, realize it. This has to do with the complete balance. You balanced the game around high end players. But please understand that they can go fighting into high intensity CZs, but players like me can't even fight in the low ones!!!

Please fix it, I really want to play this game and love it like I used to :(

Edit:
Okay, my guide how to do this kind of missions on small ships:
BONUS:. If you are patient and have enough time for the mission, do it in nav beacon - shoot wanted ships only! Sometimes you get lucky and the ship is wanted and mission objective. You can actually earn nice money for that. I got like 330K because we shot down corvete and and few other big ships. Friendly anacondas were with me.

1. Go to conflict zone
2. Do NOT choose side, EVER!
3. Patiently scan ships, check which ship is being heavily shot at. If that ship is combat objective, shoot it too!
4. When the ship explodes, RUN AWAY, go to supercruise, or jump to other system if necessary.
5. Come back.
6. Repeat 1-5

This is how CZs work now :) bravo

Hi Mortiferus. I totally agree with you. We don't have sliders to control the level, so choosing low or high should give the same result as selecting your level of difficulty. I have triple Elite status, but understand that this game should be fit for all levels of skill, knowledge, and experience.

Fly safe everyone.

2 hits from Vulture killed my Eagle instantly.

Umm... that's... kind of expected, no? :D

Anyway. I kind of agree. "Low intensity" now means only that there will be fewer ships and not so aggressive. But it would be better if there were rather lower-rank ships, instead.
Funnily enough, you'd probably be better off in High intensity, because due to sheer amount of chaos, it is easier for smaller craft to move around unnoticed, stealing kills. That's what I do in a Courier.

Not sure what "less agressive" means when I got 8 ships turn on me in a low intensity as soon as I picked a side. :p

The priorities NPCs have in CZs is and has always been ridiculous, but this extra aggression just showcases them. It is really silly that until you interfere you see ships hoping between targets, but when you become the target, there's no such thing as switching.

Probably yeah :D I just heard some message that some energetic projectile or something is incoming :D
Then purple splash around my ship. Shields down. I frantically beat my keyboard, trying to target Altair and hyperspace. I hear and see another splash. Some message. I'm death. It is actually funny when I fly a ship with rebuy cost 14K instead of 400K on Vulture :D

If you are not after combat bonds and you are just trying to complete a killing mission, try my noob guide that I added to my first post :D
Currently 7/12 targets killed :D 2 hours to go. I CAN DO THIS! :D so much profit :D 225K. I died just 3 times so far.

I had some missions as well, I followed a similar strategy.

Wait some time for ships to spawn and get targets -> pick a side -> snipe the condors fast -> attempt to get an eagle if possible -> jump out -> repeat

Granted, I was in a FDL, so the shields could take a bit more of a beating.

This is true,
I have always found that in Low intensity CZ, it is rare for other NPC ships to intervene in your combat. In High intensity, you can fly through a formation of friendlies, and they almost always take out the ship following and shooting you (or at least do it some serious damage.
You can develop a method for staying alive and getting kills in a High intensity by remaining "unnoticed" on the edges of the zone.

11/12. Got killed again. JUST ONE MORE! And then I will never accept this kind of missions again. Total lost 60K so far. Mission Reward: 225K
edit: wooohoooo MISSION COMPLETE. It took me just 150 minutes :D
