Put the HOTAS down and go and do something else tonight?

I had several missions "branch" over the past few days. Epic fails. No wonder the missions system is shamefully basic, woeful and simplistic.


It seems dear lovable old quaint FD can't even create a mission as simple as...

Take X commodity from A to B, ok "Mission Update", now take X commodity to C.
On arrival at C, no mission completion.


Oh dear, time for a cup of tea, (beer).


Muppets (sic).

Ok now you've got me searching TV from childhood, and yes it was a terrible programe :p
 
Ah man! That TV show was so boring! Gotta love school hols 80s style.



But.... still they can't get missions to work. I get the feeling it's beyond them. Which is a real shame.

Well its normal.
Because this update overhauled the already existing missions , and making them conect more with the BGS and give us more context.
In that regard it works fine.

They are going to add more new types of missions and more complex ones in the future.
 
If it makes you guys feel any better i've got a screenshot of a mission for 4 osmium, with the reward of 4 osmium, they don't really need it so they'll pay me with what i bring them! :p

Now I am in my mid-nineties, still gaming, but looking back at the Battle of Jutland..

I admire the gentleness of this thread.

Could I suggest that, to avoid these 'bugs' - you could try emptying a lot more cargo space than logic would suggest - this seems to help these alleged missions pass through.

I have no idea why this works, but I guess it is just the nature of these calmless things..

Thanks. Calling for nursey now - she's pretty hot, a little portly these days, but has a good leg, and used to code for Call of Duty, so knows a few things.

Forget the future. IMO before they add anything new they need to fix the past. Missions have been in a sad state since launch. As much as the AI superweapon bug has been causing headaches and is getting immediate attention, so should the mission system because it's causing CMDRs to waste effort to lose time, reputation and credits in exchange for fines, wanted status and frustration. I really, really hope that the upcoming patch for the NPCs also has some love for the mission system...

Well I agree , they need to fix some of the lore errors as well. they are causing a massive amount of pain to me personaly.

But its not something they can just fix out of the blue
