Engineers Pinning ingredients tricks. Suggestion 2 will shock you!!!!

Only being able to pin ONE ingredient seems      backwards to me.
Only being able to view the ingredient i cant pin by visiting the actual location of the base is even further      backwards to me.

"Hello Dominos? Id like to order a pizza please. What on the menu? What kinda deals can i get?"

"No problem sir. Just drive to our restraunt and well tell you"

" Im on my way. Wait what?"

*sigh. come on guys. Come on.

You can't seriously be surprised, this has been like that with everything else. E.g. no remote access to commodity markets, outfitting stocks, no commander's log.

Get over it and embrace the excel and exernal tools :)

Im not suprised. I am frustrated. Yes its been there for commodities before..but that doesnt affect a lot of people safe for traders. This pretty much affects everyone who would like an optimised ship for fighting, exploration and trading.
With respect the get over arguement doesnt really suffice here. We need better in game tools. Period.

Also not everyone sits at their desk playing elite. I, like many, sit on my sofa and use a controller. Not to sound petty but getting up and walking around to the desk everytime i need to check something that should be in the game is ahuge pain. But ill wave that annoyance (even though i shouldnt have to) in favour of my first suggestion if i have to.

Yeah - absolutely. Its really very very good. It doesn't really break game immersion either. Just that data and research tools in ED world are multi-vendor :)

Google vs Bing etc.

Sorry my comment came across a bit wrong in writing. In my head it sounded more sarcastic. I don't particularly enjoy alt-tabbing either, I just mean we have to look at it realistically, two years did not bring any improvement in this area so we are better off giving up hope altogether and keeping our expectations very low.

I have a perfect external tool to use with Elite. It also work perfectly for a lot of games, any game I play actually. It's the white board I fixed on the wall left of my desk. I can write whatever I want in dry erase markers and voila, instant reference when I look slightly to the left.

I long for the day when this is no longer the case.
