In the face of the stronger AI How is about lifting the nerve of the Python a little bit?

Now that the NPC are significant more difficult to deal with how is about undo the nerve of the python especially the turn rate hole outside the blue range just a bit?

It's now not just a flying brick but a flying brick in a sea of sharks. So a tiny bit increase of it's performance wouldnt hurt I think.

Or can anyone tell me does those engineer trusters upgrade improve the turnrate of the python?

I think before any adjustements are made to ships, we have to wait and see what impacti engineer mods will have. Remember the cant.

I don't know about the nerve (nerf?) of the Python, but i'd like a buff to the Cobra Mk4, the Fed Dropship, and a pony.

The python is a bit a Special case because it was once THE dominating ship. Then the nerved it from the top of the pyramide down to somewhere in the lower bottom half.

I just had a pirate lord mission where the pirate flew a python like me and I saw that he was significant simpler to deal with than every other ship I meet the last week because he couldn't turn as the others. So I think it is time to correct that a bit. Not much but just that it is on the Level like evry other ship.

Ist fine for me that ypou have to workfighting in a python but it should be on a healthy same Level.

If the engineer trusters corrects that than thats fine for me and I will try to get them but if not than the python is even more useless now than before and I have to get back to the ASP just to be able to fight competive.

So, which particular flavor mod did you want on your pony?

Cause the Python was nerfed sometime ago. I think it was 1.2. 33% shield reduction was one of the nerfs I believe. The pony was not nerfed in any of the patch notes I've read so far.

Have fun, fly safe. o7

P.S.: The Fed ships were actually buffed. If I'm not mistaken.

My A grade unmodded Python turns fine thank you

Touch of FA off , pull up and boost and she still spins a 180 fine before blasting the silly NPC clipper thats just pulled me out of SC...

"and will someone turn the AI back up to 11 again... as it was Monday" [mad]

I'm up to stage 3 thrusters on the Python and it's way better already...
Can't find "Hay" or "Saddle" for modding the pony though...

I have to agree with this. I have seen some remarkable turning/maneuvering by high rank pythons npc's.....obnoxiously remarkable in fact.

To python owners- Its it a worthwhile ship investing in/upgrading when i already have BOTH a clipper and cutter? One of the folks i fly with from time to time has one and constantly raves about how good it is, However my Cutter can Easily handle any combat situation i find myself in while still carrying 308t cargo (mind you my reliance on SCBs does limit me from staying indefinitely if solo); and if i desire a smaller ship i always have my clipper.. or even my courier if i feel like bumbling about on planets or going to an outpost for some reason.

Yep, I think my Python (and my Viper IV) are fine as is. Python has impressive shields, decent armor, very heavy firepower, and gobs and gobs of internals. It already has plenty going for it, and is by no means bad at any role you could give it.

If anything needs to get a once-over, I'd say it's the T-series.

Outposts and multirole-ing a little bit better than a Clipper (for the cost of less speed and agility) is about it.

Believe me I know those skills and use them.
But nevertheless the holes it has are significant. Ist completly out of balance. Reduce the boost turn rate .

The pythons my favourite ship but its pretty bad for its profile currently, I wouldn't change it however as it remains basically the most versatile ship in the game. The AI changes highlight its problems and together with the clipper and dropship it suffers from all of the problems the big 3 have but without the 8 utility slots + massive shields.
