Well, this is fun.
Poll results are telling but still the same people argue otherwise.
The whole discussion is pretty senseless.
The discussion can end when FD clarifies their stance on the matter explicitly with respect to multiplayer aspects of certain professions, it's not even a hard question to answer.
Let me clarify:
The discussion about the extended exit timer is senseless.
The discussion about combatlogging is not.
Piracy is not a profession but a hobby.
If you seek an income, do what your victims do and in one run you'll be making more than in a day's stalking.
It's a hobby.
Well, I think FD's answer to my question pretty much answers the question of combat logging, as well.
If they see every interaction between player demands explicitly consent of all involved parties every step of the way, then combat logging might as well be legitimate since anyone can just say: "Oh ops, I don't feel like interacting, logging."
Are you even the slightest familiar with marketing, product placement and stuff?
Oh, nice. This poll show us that 71,55% of players are combat loggers.![]()
Imo, interaction doesn't require consent.
The main problem of piracy is that the bad reputation (of certain parts/groups) of the PvP community causes the reaction: "Oh , someone wants to kill me." whenever a player interdicts another player.
maybe its YOU that is playing the wrong game?
Hm, I'm ok about combat loggers. May be 28.45% want to play a game with good balance? Did you think about this thing? And on other side 71,55% of players are potential cheaters and it's looks like truth.More like: a minority of 28.45% wants to do harm to others and rages when they are not allowed to see the pretty explosions. Pretty clear vote in my book for a preservation of status quo regarding Menue logging.
If you dont like that: maybe its YOU that is playing the wrong game?
