This is making the game boring ...

I explain, this has been happening since last patch, now every time I accept an assassination mission, it shows a timeframe a hour from current time.

Example, I accept a mission to kill X target in Y system at 18:30, then mission tells me target is supposed to be in that system by 19:30 to 19:50, something like that... why is target now always appearing that late ? Why can't we have time frames closer to the moment you accept the mission? This is resulting in me staying around doing nothing until the time target is supposed to spawn,
Is it like that now? Are you having the same type of delay before mission triggers ? I find it frustrating to have to wait that long before I can do the mission...

Is it happening to you as well? Please share your experience

UPDATE: I tried what a participant of this thread said, I dropped into Nav beacon space, scanned the Nav beacon, mission updated telling me where to find target, I then found a signal marked in blue "Mission Signal" and dropped in, found target and killed it, that sounds like we don't have to wait 40 minutes to start mission, all we have to do is to do as I stated.

You don't have to wait 30-40 mins for the target to appear. Scan the Nav for extra info on the target's current in-system location, and follow the trail.

How do I scan Nav ?? I've never had to do that before, please guide me, thank you

1) Go into nav beacon instance
2) Select the nav beacon (the actual object, not the marker)
3) Point at it and scan it, as if it were a ship.

It'll tell you which body you should search near. It'll also function as an ADS, revealing all planets in the system. Anyway, generally I just do something else before the ETA. 40min is enough for 1-2 missions. Hanging around doing nothing seems a waste of time.

Drop into the nav beacon. Target it (the physical object, not the navigation one - they seem to be several hundred meters apart) and wait for the scan to finish. :)
That's all.

Its one of the best features in 2.1. Drop on Nav beacon from supercruise. Then /selecttarget the nav beacon from your contacts, fly closer and scan will automatically initiate. Wait till it is finished and in the end you will receive info about your mission targets, etc.

Ok thank you a lot, I didn't have to do this before, I'll go try it now

ahh it's new feature LOL , I wondered why I was so confused , thank you for the info

Quick tip: If you have a bounty (in ANY system), prepare for AI bounty hunters to attack you while you're getting the Nav scanned. Last night I had to enter/leave a Nav 2-3 times before I could get it scanned, due to all the hunters opening fire.

Yeahh, I'm trying to avoid being wanted now, the first day of 2.1 I lost 4 FDLs, 2 Eagles, second day, 1 T7, yesterday 1 T7 LOL, I've learned the lesson, now I no longer lose any ship unless I make stupid mistakes
