Are you sure? I found Tellurium as the very rare. In full Te, Nb, W, As, Zn and Cr. Only the Zinc is new.We might have to keep looking for Technetium.

I said hi over in game chat to you when I arrived but ED crashed when I tried to deploy my SRV and you'd gone when I relogged.

You're totally right, it was Tellurium.

I remember seeing you - it's funny you crashed out, as I'd gotten into my SRV just moments before you disappeared. I'd been sitting on top of my ship in the SRV, but then ran and hid inside it until I knew you were a friendly XD

Second point is just regarding the Unknown Probes. Unknown Artefacts don't appear in any "illegal goods" lists. Unknown Probes do. I have another funny suspicion that Unknown Probes have been in the game since, well, before this update, and their inclusion in the illegal goods list may be to just draw attention to the fact this is a thing.
I would be inclined to concur.

If I wasn't farting around doing missions I'd be checking out around Menkib and Atik....

could anyone of you guys there post a pic of the star detail to compare with Merope?
and also, the planet details to compare with merope 5c at least?

Wow great find.
So do the barnacles from the California Nebula have a different icon/brand/logo from the Merope ones?
And do this lot have a shell of UA's, if they do then i owe some one 10 tonnes of gold :D

I meant, plotting a line from this system to Merope, and travel it or find out what interesting systems could be in there.. but the more I think of it the more I dismiss the idea. :(

I did take a look on Erismus's maps this morning (at work so no in-game tools). If you take the California Nebula, the Pleiades and Sol they are (roughly) in line, it could suggest a direction of travel. Another thing I would like to know is how far is the California Nebula from Barnard's Loop? If it's a similar distance as the Pleiades, perhaps this represents a front?

Also, what about IC 4604. it is another similar nebula that is same distance as California (aprox) just in the opposite direction.
