Being wanted

The Locals also belong to factions that might be at WAR. They could be shooting at someone that is not WANTED and you just shot a CLEAN ship...but in the end this is how the game works. You have understand and accept this. I'm not trying to be flippant. You want realism but there are limits.

I know how it works, we all do. We're just saying that the current system could do with a few tweaks.

I think getting fined should only apply if the target is actually clean. If you shoot at someone where you don't know the certainty, you're taking a risk. But the robotic police response of "GET HIM!!" to me when I actively aid them in taking down a criminal before my computer does the thorough background check, cause watching them light the guy up is all the indication I need is just silly.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the system need tweeking. I just want to be able to defend myself first. You get interdicted but you shoot first without scanning, you are fined? There should be a option to defend oneself, espacially agaisnt rival gangs. I don't care if I'm in a hostile space, how am I'm wanted for defending myself agaist a Allaince Enforcer? Aren't they thugs?

And you got interdicted in the first place. That should be a hostile action to begin with. There are no friendly reasons (police checkstops aside) to yank someone out of super cruise.
