I wish there was a way to buy/sell materials and data between players.

Personally I have very little interest scouring planetary surfaces for particular materials, but I would gladly pay for them if I knew another player was out there collecting them and getting some credits in the process. For example, I wind up with a decent chunk of FSD injection materials that I never use, but I'm sure there are a few explorers who might be interested in taking them off my hands. I think this could help bring players together, form trade relations, give new ways of earning credits in the game and just make the universe feel a bit more connected in general.

No that makes to much sense and is far to convenient, Bad, bad !

Instead in 2.3.5 (Casino Expansion) we can play roulette with our stuff, place bets on various tasks and CQC outcomes, with reasonable odds, just remember the house takes 30 %.
The casinos will be placed at various space stations (plenty of room, no body plays THAT game anymore) and insta travel there is offered through game menu for you convenience.
Various ingame menus will, trough the internet, offer you access to fast-food chains and bevarage providers at a small fee. Your ingame wins can be converted to spells, Power Ingredients, Quick Travel Injects, Invisibilyty Cloaks and much, much more...
[woah]

I am drunk , I am going to bed, Good morning, night or whatever it is where you are

Cheers Cmdr's

A player economy like that is a great idea but it would bring real money traders in and that's 1 reason they wont do it. I personally have nothing against RMT as I was a diablo 2 item sell that made at least a $1000 a month selling items on ebay and other ways

At the very least expand the 600 storage space to 1800. Or make the crap tradable so we miners can dump it and the combat pilots can get what they need in trade for canisters of painite.

As much as I hate "gold sellers", I find them easy enough to ignore or report in other games. I wouldn't mind seeing a trading system of some kind.

As an avid miner, I would love to be able to sell my mats along with the rest of my cargo -- I'm constantly having to dump common mats just to get my limpits to function properly.

i would agree this is the reason we don't have so meny forms of trade in game that would be cool.

apart for anyone saying RMT is like pay to win, that's not the big issue (is it non of my concern if people want to play someone else to play their game :p, but i'm solo most of the time and understand it would effect online players), the main problems would probably be, underhand website and spamming in local chat of sales and web addresses :(

Doesn't mean we will never see player trade, but a system needs to be in place that would make time spend for RTM website, not worth their effort. a basic first step would be to have a player trade unlock time and/or rank, so any player reported spamming could not just make another account and start selling again.

and we can say that anyone using RMT that gets done over, its there own fault but, i don't think FD want the extra Admin of complains to deal with

As far as the in-game effects of possible gold sellers go (chat spamming etc.), I think they would be fairly minimal. Given the scope of of the game, along with how the regional chat works, would make it somewhat difficult to efficiently advertise their services. Even when I've seen them in other games (I've only seen them in free to play games, mind you), I just shrug and move on.

Trade npc's would work. You trading with AI. No opportunity for real money traders. Or pirate bases that will buy and sell anything.

You can also make it so you can ONLY trade materials and data, with no credit exchange being done at all. Barter vs currency, basically. Sort of a "Want to trade X item for X item" kind of deal. Perhaps even make it so you can only trade goods with same rarity.

Of course, they would need to fix the actual drop rates of some supposedly common goods, like Arsenic.
