I wonder if they like the idea of using the CQC to gain materials according to your performance in battle.

For example win a battle gives you 1 of mercury and a security firmware patch.

This would promote the CQC and perhaps would be another way to get materials, a little more aggressive, but it is still fun.

Will encourage pub stomp, better if rewarded for kill/assist.

Also, supporting PvP?! Nonsense, FD will never approve that.

I think it would be a good way to encourage the CQC, but let me know if you'd like.

You gave me no time even to put the pull.[big grin][haha].

I feel smell of mobius.XD

CQC better urgently need AI to complete empty slot and resolve by same time unbalance issue

Look at those numbers this is pulls PVP.
Who will win.

LOL.

We must integrate with people who have only ARENA.

I'm fine with it, the more ways people can earn material the better, I personally don't like CQC.

But to poll on this forum is like asking for an anti-PvP result.

Winning consumer technology as part of a contest? Awesome, it's the Generation Game and Sale of the Century but with shooting things. :D

I'm also a bit suspicious of the idea that winning junk and scraps of data in a deathmatch contest would be something to look forward to. Maybe if these things were able to be acquired in the arena itself, whereby you win anything you retain without getting blown up, it may make more sense from a lore perspective. Sure, it'll mean there'll only be people who go into a match, hunt for materials, try and survive the match with their materials intact, and then leave, but at least it means there'll be more moving targets for the rest of us. :p

i like the idea so long as it's not the only solution they offer to make it easier; if it was that'd be annoying because i don't like cqc but that's just me.

I'm worried that increasing the CQC rewards will create bad incentives where people seek out easy matches to farm noobs for goods & credits. Unless you can guarantee good matchmaking before handing out serious rewards, I think it will cause more problems than it solves.

Thank you very much for all your comments, I know that many people do not like the "PVP".

But there are lots of ways to earn materials and many players who are playing alone CQC, I think that in the future unify both systems can become strong Elite Dangerous vs other games that are to come.

How would that make sens in lore?

...

How does NPC eagles and Vipers with the jumprange of an upgraded Asp make sense in lore?
How do the handwavium engineers make sense in lore?
How does the fact that I can visit the same location on a planet twice and only find a mining outpost there once make sense in lore?

Some of the design choices contradict the ultra realism the game has in other parts (universe generation for example).
I don't much like OPs idea, but lore has little to do with it IMO.

My experience from other MMOs is that any reward from arena-style PvP that is highly sought after outside of said PvP, leads to large amounts of people just doing the PvP half-heartedly to get the stuff. It may be fun for a moment for the dedicated and experienced PvPers as they get some free wins, but eventually they get bored of that, meanwhile the people who do it just for that reward which they want for their PvE will be frustrated to no end.

Well, it's not even really pro-pvp so much as it is anti-pve.

Think about it; regardless of your opinion on CQC, (I personally don't care for it) it does qualify as a pvp activity. Forcibly injecting people into the activity may result in more people doing it, but I think you'll find most people will simply slog their way through it without caring if they do well or not just to get what they are after. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if people opposed this idea, and it's got nothing to do with 'hating on' pvp players. For the most part pve players just don't care what pvp players get up to as it doesn't effect them.

the gain for CQC should be more to begin with.

but i dont need anymore mats, done with that.. dont have space for them anyway..
