Engineers Do modifications affect your rebuy cost?

One thing I didn't check as I did various mods was whether it affects the rebuy/insurance cost of your ship...

Does anyone know?

I assume not as they don't have monetary value, but do cost a lot in time and resources.

After rebuy, I believe I still had my mods.

I believe the mods don't have any effect on the rebuy costs. It's treated as a standard module.

I once had my rebuy cost cut in half after an engineer mod.. The 20 some mil rebuy on my Anaconda went down to only 10 some mil after an upgrade... unfortunately it was back to normal after I logged back in the next day

I think this is a bug, I get variable rebuy costs from time to time.
